Re: SSH Client
Is that just Telnet or does is offer SSH? Thar be a big difference lol
I can't run Telnet since I would need to log in as root in certain situations and you must have encrypted communication to remote in as root. EDIT: nevermind lol I see that the pro version offers SSH. It still means there isn't anything free for ssh Last edited by mrgeoff; 06-26-2008 at 10:29 AM. |

Re: SSH Client
Another option is midpssh which is a java based solution. The info/download can be found at http://www.xk72.com/midpssh/ . Unfortunately in the the "type" mode (each key press sent to server) the enter button does not work. You'll have to settle for the "input" mode (type command string locally then send to server by pressing enter). A benefit of this mode is that # keys are bound to special keys like esc, alt, ctrl, enter, ect. Once you memorize the key bindings its a very capable ssh client. In regard I perceive it to be faster than putty or zaTelnet.

This is from a while back but it has some good options. In the past I have used PocketPutty, however I could never get it to authenticate with a Public key. The other options may be useful. |
