WeatherPanel Issue

Out of the clear blue weatherpanel quit working. It just cycles between these two statements.

Weatherpanel has no data for this city. Please connect to internet to download updated data.

Weatherpanel is downloading weather data. Please wait.

Anyone have any idea what could be wrong?

I tried that and it didn't work. I also removed and reinstalled the program and that didn't work.

Right now I'm at a lost as what else to try.

What city are you wanting info for? Try adding a new city and see if it'll update that info?

Thanks for the idea.

I had four cities setup. They had all been working just fine.

So I deleted them all and did a soft reset. Added in another city that I hadn't used before. Still same problem.

This is driving me nuts.

Question 1: Which version of WP are you using?
Question 2: Which theme are you using?
Question 3. Are you using Search when adding cities? So that you get a Location Code, such as USWA0441?

Make sure your connect tab is set as follows:

• Auto Update Data: checked
  Establish Connection: checked
  Disable Checking for New Versions: checked

Then do an explicit update from the menu. You should see the update icon turn red while it's working.

Question #2---Your Chameleon-240 tried other themes with same results.
Question #3---Yes

Checked everything you said and did update. Update icon flashes red. Doesn't stay on continuous.

Still getting the alternating statements as above.

Is your internet connection working? You can successfuly access sites from PIE?

Another thought: What changes have you made to your system recently? New software? Resgistry? Did you install Commuter-240 via CAB?

I did check the internet connectiion and it is working. I have pocketweather on my device. So loaded it and it works fine.

I do also have your theme commuter-240 and didn't install it or Chameleon-240 via cab. But they both worked fine. The last thing I install was WP-pilot and did install it via cab. But it also was working fine.

I don't know all the ins and outs of WP, but could there be a problem with radar images loading? I know I had some traffic cams that would not update their photos at night, so WP would not update at all. Try uninstalling radar images/cams, etc. and see if that helps.
