I've got an 8GB SDHC card with over 1200 WMA files. I use both WMP and HTC Audio Manager. As far as I can tell HTC audio Manager plays all my tunes. Maybe it's because I'm using WMA files.

You migh want to try downloading the latest version of HTC AM. The only known issue with HTC AM is that it wont play songs encoded over 320Kb, other than that it is perfect.

In my opinion the best media player is the default WMP. It's got ratings, album arts, plays all levels of encoding in WMA(don't have any MP3's), plus it syncs great with WMP 11 on PC.

Add SRS WOW HD to your PPC and you are in media player heaven.
