Iphone SMS?

Is there a program out that that lets you have your SMS in bubbles like the iphone does? Or does Vito SMS create a skin for a iphone like look?

Re: Iphone SMS?

Actually with PocketCM, if you use its SMS functions it will put your text messages and others in the similar to iPhone form of threaded-SMS in speech bubbles.

Here's a link

Re: Iphone SMS?

Yeah I know. But I don't like the fact that when I get a text and i pressed reply it doesn't open the message in Pocket CM is there anyway to make it?

Re: Iphone SMS?

To answer your question about PocketCM, I don't know if that can be done. Not to my knowledge can it be done. I personally don't like to use PocketCM's SMS application.

I have a few questions.

Which version of Windows Mobile are you presently working with?

Is your phone running a stock Rom?

Which carrier are you currently with?

Because, I just upgraded to No2Chem's 5067 Rom and it has threaded-SMS pretty much built in, just no speech bubbles. All the texts are consolisated into a chat-like message though. I'm sure that there is SOME way to at least skin that once that's on there.

Re: Iphone SMS?

so its basically a form over function type thing for you. You want it for the looks. Only thing I know that does bubbles is pocketcm but u don't want that. SMS-Chat is what I use and its great. No bubbles needed for me

Re: Iphone SMS?

I really tried to like PocketCM as well, but it just has too many issues as of now. I am not a fan of the text message app, it seems to slow things down a bit. On top of that, it doesn't show you the next predicted word or word choices, so you constantly have to watch out for it picking the wrong word especially in common words like "are" and "see" that have the same combination. On my phone, it also liked to randomly tell me that I have a new text message even though it was already an old read one. These were usually messages that I replied to using the PocketCM Texting app which are supposed to automatically mark a message that is being replied to as read.

Over all, the standard texting app and the PocketCM one just didn't jive well together, and for you to get any kind of useful speed out of PocketCM, you had to leave it running in the background.

So....after trying it...I just had to take it off. Waiting on the official Sprint Rom for the Touch to get 6.1 and threaded SMS.

Re: Iphone SMS?

Wow. If you don't wanna wait, you can use one of the custom roms that already have 6.1 and threaded. Thats only if you're comfortable with flashing a custom rom. I've used 2 custom roms and everything went fine for me

Re: Iphone SMS?

just turn off on screen reminders for txts, then use pocket cm. If you leave it running in the background it will pop up then you get a text
