A ROM update comes in an exe file that runs on your computer. Nothing needs to be changed on the phone manually.

Read all directions and make sure you understand them before installing a new ROM. Especially a custom ROM.

This is the software section. If you still have a 6700, then ask in that forum. Better exposure and a quicker response from users who have your phone
