what roms can u just download to your phone from your computer when sync, like the new sprint rom? One that you dont have to do ANYTHING to the registry.

you normally dont have to mess with the registry on any rom what device are you looking up roms for.

When you download a ROM image, you need to flash it, or write it to your phone's ROM. You can't just copy it over to your phone during a sync. What you are doing is overwriting the firmware on your phone's ROM chip and there are instructions for how to do that on your carrier's website and all over this board.

A ROM update comes in an exe file that runs on your computer. Nothing needs to be changed on the phone manually.

Read all directions and make sure you understand them before installing a new ROM. Especially a custom ROM.

This is the software section. If you still have a 6700, then ask in that forum. Better exposure and a quicker response from users who have your phone :)
