Re: Opera 9.5 build 1004
I copied the .zip content into the skin folder. But there are 2 files in there now. The qvga fix and a standard skin. the zooming have been fixed. but when I launched the app, it shows a huge HTC icon, and then my address bar, and icons at the bottom are all huge. Am I doing something wrong?

Re: Opera 9.5 build 1004
Does everyone still have the initial application boot up screen with the huge HTC loading icon? my actual browser icon have all been corrected. But when I launched the application, the icon for HTC loading, is still huge. Is anyone else having the same issue on that?

Re: Opera 9.5 build 1004
Hey everyone. I found this guide
OK, somebody found a fix, and it's as easy as a registry tweak! To enable t9-based input methods in Opera, one needs to: 1. Open a registry editor and go to HKLM\Software\Tegic\eT9 2. Add a multi-string key named "CustomClassNames" 3. Add "WMOpera_EditEx" and "Opera_MainWndClass" for Opera 9.x, "OperaWindowClass" for Opera 8.x 4. Soft reset the device 5. Enjoy working t9 in Opera on this page: http://my.opera.com/community/forums...comment2535805 I'm have both Resco and Total Commander, but for some reason I can't get it to work right. Can anyone help me out? How do you make a multi-string key without getting the error "not a hex line in line 1" with Total Commander? With Resco registry I made the key, I put "WMOpera_editEx" on one line, without quotation marks, and pressed enter, and on line two I entered the following key. Pressed done, it doesn't show up, but if i try to add it again, it says it exists. I'm so confused ![]() Any help? Thanks. :$ |

Re: Opera 9.5 build 1004
I put the max connections and total to 16 instead of default 4 in performance. To which number should I put the network buffer size? it's currently at 8. What is reduce max persistent http connection ? it has a check mark. is that good ?
Edit: well It reverted back to 6 max connections. Last edited by Archius; 05-23-2008 at 06:54 PM. |

Re: Opera 9.5 build 1004
Skyfire = dependant on servers for everything (webpage rendering, media compatibility, etc)
Opera Mobile = on-device webpage rendering Skyfire will most likely cost you on a per-month basis... something I won't do is pay another monthly internet bill. Opera FTW! |

Re: Opera 9.5 build 1004
Well you also have to take into account that right now, Skyfire is not secure. It doesn't encrypt your data before transmission, which is something that Opera Mini DOES do. I hope nobody has been checking their bank accounts, ordering things online, or doing other sensitive things with Skyfire...
But yeah, this new version of Opera Mobile 9.5 is actually usable. Even on the Mogul. No issues with memory consumption... though the text rendering gets jacked up when it tries to autofit to the page. Anyone else having this issue? Words will run together... Like if the page said "The new browser is extremely fast", it will mash it so it looks like "Thenew browseris extremelyfast" or something to that extent.
