Re: ***NEW RELEASE 11/16/08**** C-ApiSRO - Sirius/XM Satellite Radio for PocketPC (PP

Interesting app. I have a quick (and silly) question. I don't have internet access with my xv6700. Do I need it for this app. or is the information accessible through the phone connection? Thanks. jm

I use this for xm with vista, you load it into your sidebar http://www.buildagadget.com/Project-XM.php

1+ for this Vista sidebar gadget, it works wonderfully. I've been using it for months.

Yes, you do need internet access. C-ApiSRO will stream data from Sirius XM so make sure you pay attention to how you are being billed from your cell provider. I have an unlimited data plan from Sprint, but many have plans that only allow a certain amount of data to be consumed, so check your contract.

You can also use wi-fi if your phone supports it, and some phones can be tethered to a computer to get internet. Those options will cost you nothing, however, Wi-Fi will drain your battery quicker than tethering or using the cell providers network.

nice app; it seems to work on my HTC Touch Pro (using ver. -3).
But what's with the skull and crossbones logo?

Yeah, I'd like a different logo also... but I'm trying not to be too picky. I'm thankful the program exist to begin with... but a logo that doesn't draw attention to itself would be nice.

Used the program today and had it running for about 2 hours. Worked great but the phone was super hot after that time. Took 80% of the battery life too. Be careful!

Odd. this app worked fine last night; now it takes a long time seeming to load XM channels, then says "Connected successfully. Enjoy!"; but no channels are listed and the phone indicates no data connection. Any thoughts no what happened?

Try clearing the cache and then log back in. I did that and it works but man was my phone hot to touch.

I put a review of C-ApiSRO on my blog, R-Capi. Great app, I really enjoy it!
