Do me a favor and go to XM Radios website and log into their client application. Verify that your account is working correctly straight from the source.

XM Radio: http://xmro.xmradio.com/xstream/index.jsp

You can also create a 3 day temporary account and give that a try. I've heard of some users having difficulties with their accounts while XM is making all of their changes. It's worth a try.

Something tells me that your problem either exists with your subscription or your network settings on your phone. C-ApiSRO is just not smart enough to determine which it is and report back a valid error message. Maybe I should get to work on that.
Still not getting the channel list to load.

I have tried multiple resets, and re-installations. I have also tried my regular XM online account, and it works there. Not sure exactly what is going on, it says that I have connected successfully? Oh yeah, I have also tried with a wifi connection.

This happened to me last night as well. Then about an hour later I was able to connect again. I'm not sure where the problem lives right now. It's quite possible XM is having issues that C-ApiSRO isn't handling too well.
As of 10:38AM (EST) I was able to connect to XM & Sirius using my Mogul on a Sprint network with 1 bar of service.

Yeah you're right, I just tried and it's working again... False alarm, at least on my end. Thanks again for the work you've put into the application. I'm more than happy to be the 100th person to "thank" you.

Well, I apologize for the problems you are having and what I need to do next is enhance my reporting and error mechanisms to further understand what is going on. Unfortunately I will be leaving town this afternoon and won't be back till Monday, so this problem will have to wait a few days. First thing next week I will make further changes to see what is going on.

In the mean time do me a favor and create a 3 day trial account with Sirius, yes I said Sirius, and see if you can stream Sirius using C-ApiSRO. Please login using the Sirius player after you create your account to make sure it works properly. Let me know what happens. This will help me understand if your problem is the network in general or just XM. Thanks.

  3. Verify that you are able to stream audio to your Windows Media Player without C-ApiSRO. I can play wav, mp3, etc. Not sure how to stream something beyond my intention to stream Sirius with your applet.
  4. If you are technically able to do so, install a packet sniffer and capture network traffic coming/going to your device. It's okay if you are unable to do this one, because it's a pretty involved item. I may have to write a diagnostic utility to accomplish something similar. Unfortunately, no sniffing capability here (except my sadness )
Thanks for your debug efforts thus far.

Once I hand that stream off to the media player it's out of my hands.

What we now have to do is determine why Windows Media Player is failing to stream this music. I will go back and look at your log again to see if there is something else that I'm missing.

Could it be a CODEC issue?

Just a heads up, Orbitcast.com is reporting that XM and Sirius will debut a combined channel lineup in mid-November... could this affect the current version of C-ApriSRO?

No, I highly doubt it's a codec issue. These streams are in WMA format, which is native to Windows Mobile, so unless you did something funky to your device it shouldn't be codec releated.
