Re: JiveTalk Alpha
Oh one thing I notice that might help people out cause it wouldnt allow me to sign on also. You have to be in a current data connection for you to be able to connect. So on my 6800 I hit the internet and connect will real quick. Just so I will be connected to data then go back to jive talk and sign on. Cause if you just click on sign on and your phone is currently not connected to data it wont work it will give you an error message!

This is most likely due to incomplete error data being available because this is still in Alpha.

Re: JiveTalk Alpha
These are the equivalent to the versions you need on the desktop... Basically, Windows doesn't have the built-in ability to 'execute' programs written in .NET ... there are certain libraries/functions that need to be 'installed' before these applications will function.
SQL is a database system that some programs use. I don't know what part of JiveTalk needs it, but it could have something to do with storing each account/buddy/IM history... That's a lot of information, and would need a nice, clean database to do it efficiently... hence, the SQL.. |
