Re: Opera Mobile 9.405!!!!

Huge thanks for this chance to beta test Opera Mobile 9.5 (scale tipped). Although it's not quite as smooth and friendly as shown in the video at Opera's site, it really is quite slick and useful. My biggest complaint is that after zooming and scrolling to a particular spot in a page that changes frequently, when re-loading the page to update info in that special spot, Opera sets you back to the initial bird's eye view. So you have to do the zooming and scrolling all over agian. My only other complaint is about how the display sort of spazzes out when scrolling after zooming into a large image. These things are not enough, though, to make me dump the app, it's a keeper (for now).

Re: Opera Mobile 9.405!!!!

Okay, so if we purchase 8.65 Mobile, will our license for that work on 9.5 beta? Well, in this case....9.405?

Re: Opera Mobile 9.405!!!!

Just weeks until the actual 9.5 beta! I'm excited.

"We know that you're waiting for the upcoming beta of Opera Mobile v9.5, and we're sorry to keep you waiting. A browser is a complex piece of software and it takes time to put it together. Believe me when I say that we're just as eager as you to get this browser ready and out the door, but we want it to work properly before we let you play with it.

In the meantime, if you know any talented developers, don't hesitate to send them our way.

EDIT: Don't worry guys! This is a minor delay.. we had hoped to have the beta released by now, but you will have to wait another couple of weeks (not months)."

Re: Opera Mobile 9.405!!!!

I must say I am running this on WM6 on my TItan and while it has some quirks to it Im excited for the final release this already works way better much more fluid and maximizes screen space better than 8.65 and I think it blows Sky Fire away because I can not copy and past in skyfire and zooming is not well implemented.

I purchased 8.65 and have not used it since I installed 9.X

THANKS!!!!

Yeah, I was using 8.65 Demo for a while and was not impressed. I have installed Opera Mobile 9 and it ROX. I haven't got my invite for SkyFire yet, but from what I've heard from others it doesn't sound like it will beat out Opera Mobile 9 in most areas, but I do like the operation of watching youtube vids within the web page, but that's just for geek satisfaction mostly. A lot of people rave about Mini 4.1 being the best SmartPhone browser, but I disagree. I think Opera Mobile 9 with Limit Paragraph turned on is the best way to read online content on my phone.

Speaking of that, does anyone know how to get the "Limit Paragraph Content" option to be ON by default when you open the Browser?

Totally agree... Someone posted a way to always have limit paragraph ON but it never worked for me... it involved adding a css file in /application data/opera9/styles but no joy for me.

Opera_9.5__Build_405__Fixed_Uninstall__VGA.cab.zip on the first post should work fine for WM5 VGA.
