Re: SMS-Chat by Vito Technologies Threaded SMS

Installing now, hopefully they added the right soft key as the sending button again.

**EDIT**

They have also fixed the two soft keys. The right sends texts, the left goes back!

From memory I think it is in HKLM Software..HTC...Touchflow. Been a while since I did this.
Hope it is of some help.
That's not it (thanks for trying). There is no "Touchflow" folder under that path. I have looked through all the others in that area but can't find it. If anyone knows the path please let me know.
Thanks.

Re: SMS-Chat by Vito Technologies Threaded SMS

Ok, I changed:

HKLM Software/HTC/Biotouch/Applauncher/App4/

Changed path from: \Windows\Tmail.exe

to:\Program Files\VITO\SMS-Chat\SMSChat.exe

Did a soft reboot and it still didnt work. I could have sworn that was it. Ill keep looking...

The shortcut I am trying to change it the small one right under the clock. There are three. On the left is the one for email, then SMS in the middle, then call history on the right.

Re: SMS-Chat by Vito Technologies Threaded SMS

Ok, I have the spiffy 1.16 version installed on my xv6800 and here's what I've found so far as changes other than the export text file :

1. hardware keys are working again. you can now send your sms using the right soft-key (FINALLY!). you can also use the left soft-key to go back and the right to open the menu (when not sending an sms).

2. when you create a new, or respond to, an sms you no longer have to tap inside the text box. the text box automagically has focus and you can type away.

3. they changed SOMETHING with the skinning.. not sure what, but my custom skin i had made won't work anymore. app won't even load with it. stuck with default until i have some time to look into it.

Could be other stuff, that's what I've found in the first few mins of playing around

Update.. they changed the layout of the skin files and possibly the BMP sub-format.

They also changed the contact name orientation back to first name/last name. I'm glad about that. And I like the ability to use the soft keys as well as not having to click the text prompt before you can type your message.

Re: SMS-Chat by Vito Technologies Threaded SMS

I agree, TG.. I noticed that earlier today that I could use the left soft-key to reply when the notification msg pops up. Makes life so much easier and saves me from having to clean my screen so much

They must be saved in 16 bits per pixel format. If you have Photoshop, save them to bmp with 16bit selected. Mine display but the colors come out choppy. I'm not sure why. I was able to successfully display a heart but when I tried something else the colors get distorted. If you figure it out let me know.

I'm thinking that there are limited colors allowed.
