Re: SMS-Chat by Vito Technologies Threaded SMS

Has anyone figured how to map smsChat to a soft button or make it the default sms handler?

You need a registry editor program like resco registry, thats what i used. I am running SPB mobile shell and mapped the mail icon to do this.

You need to go to:

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:MSINBOX

in the string "1" write

"\Program File\VITO\SMS-Chat\SMSChat.exe"

if you have stored the program on your storage card then include this before program file.

Or you can DL the free program called KEYSWOP....makes changing the soft keys easy without yourself having to editing the registry.

This isnt a bad suggestion either but for me i have already have 2 programs dedicated for the 2 soft keys so i liked the option of using the actual sms icon.

well sms is pretty much my default...i use the notification option and go right to it...and i also use winterface with custom skin icons from xda and never have to use the def message system...now mms r a different story...the new 1.2 isnt on the site but it did get released im using it now and its super smooth with a new default light skin...

Re: SMS-Chat by Vito Technologies Threaded SMS

A heads up about Vito. Policy is 3 months from purchase to get new key. After that length of time you have to re buy the products.
I had to hard reset, reinstall, my reg code didn't work, I wrote. They want me to rebuy.
Sorry Vito, I don't buy a new phone every 3 months, and for the same phone I can't even re install your product. Lousy policy.
