What complete garbage! I signed up a few weeks ago, and when I went on their site (today) it said that I was NOT signed up. I though, "Oh well," and tried to sign up again. Unfortunately, now it's saying that MY number has already been registered. So, I tried to Login, but it says that I have no account. I hit the "Forgot You Password" deal, put in my number, and clicked on "Send by SMS", or whatever. Then it tells me that I have not registered for an account.

This sucks, 'cause I was really looking forward to trying this out.

I think you are getting really confused. Did you get a confirmation email sent to you when you signed up for the beta? When you signed up for the beta, you didnt sign up for an account, no one did. You sign up for an account after they send you your code, and the link to the browser download. That is why your password recovery didnt work. As long as it says your number is registered, they will send you an SMS when it is your time. Dont worry.

Ahhhhhhh, I see. I thought it started an account on their site AND signed me up for the Beta. I figured they'd do it that way so that people could start talking on their forums (which I now realize they don't have).

im willing to bet their next rollout of sms' will be next friday...
theyre probably going to test how this first rollout will fare with their servers and to see if theres any major problems before bringing more people in.

I dont think they will wait a whole week. Im sure on monday they will send out a few more invites. Let them analyze how well their servers are handling the load from the initial run over the weekend.

Here's when I got my initial e-mail that shows I signed up to get an SMS when the beta is released:

No SMS for me yet.
