Dashwire service is open and will help with a lot of the stuff you called out in the thread.

Our invite system definitely wasn't cool, but we weren't trying to be exclusive about it (only were letting in phones that we knew worked at the time). Trust me, in the rare occasions that we hit the town, we hate bouncers and lines about as much as anybody.

Out of private beta and into the wild. Check it out...might help!

Thanks. I actually got my invite a couple of months ago and I love Dashwire! Absolutely no complaints other than the occasional crash (I think it's ROM/memory related though)

Mostly a prioritization thing. We didn't originally build it out b/c we went the whole private beta route for the first few months. We haven't built it out yet b/c other things trumped it since we went public (improved search, updating our mobile client, etc.). It's in the plans for our current development iteration. Really key for viral spread.
