OK guys....I don't know what happened, but I started from scratch last night (with WP, not a hard reset) I uninstalled it, and deleted all the folders/files associated with it manually, did a soft reset, then installed and set it up the way I like it (skins/icons....you know) and then I did the moon phase fix.......IT WORKS!!!! I don't know what I did, but it works. I have a feeling that maybe I tried so many times in so many ways, that I confused the programing. So...now I have moon phases.........but where are my map/radar images?

Augggggg........they are gone, they won't show anymore. I know it is a subject for another thread, and I will try to find it, I just thought it was kinda humerous (and quite frustrating on my part) that I get one thing fixed, and another part goes all screwy on me!! Anybody else have their maps go away?

P.S. Thanks guys, you were all a great help in my thinking this through.

In the first post. You need to be signed in to see the files available for download. And in order for them to work, you need to check your version of WP.

If so, could someone post the original trial dll file to same me a reinstalation? If that is not the issue....any ideas? I get alternating screens indicating numbers in long string %, or phases....neither with any moon icons.

Thanks ahead, PPCGeeks always come through!!!!
Renaming the old dll is not important for it to work. This is suggested as a backup. Try this:

1. Before you install the new dll, make sure it's not in use by unchecking WeatherPanel in the Today settings, then soft reset.

2. Copy the new dll into the same folder containing weatherpanel.dll. If you've installed weatherpanel to your storage card, this will be storage card\program files\marsware\weatherpanel.

3. Go back into your Today settings and recheck weatherpanel.

4. Perform an update.
I'm not really sure about that. At least not for the 6700. For me, even though I installed it to the storage card, the path to WeatherPanel.dll is still on my phone itself under /programs.

Also, I just tried this, and I couldn't get it to work, either. So, are there supposed to be 2 .dll files in the same location, or just the new one? This is sort of confusing.

First remember to disable WP from the Today screen. Then you have 2 options, either delete the old DLL file, or rename it to keep it as a backup just in case. I renamed it to WeatherPanelOLD.dll

Then place the corresponding DLL from the first post, make sure the DLL matches the version you have. Then soft reset and enable WP again on the Today screen.

That's more or less how I did it, and it worked for me. I have WP on main memory, so I don't know about the location. But if you installed on the SD card and the DLL is on main memory, then replace it there. Many apps still install a portion on main memory to be able to function.

That WP dll should be in the WP folder.
