WeatherPanel - Moon Phases no longer working (FIXED)

OK....I am at the end of my rope here as well!! I can't get the moon phase to work either. I have the trial version, and replaced the trial dll. The only thing I can think of that I did not follow to a 'T' (I know....my bad!!!!) is that I did not rename the original dll file, I just replaced it. Is that my mistake? If so, could someone post the original trial dll file to same me a reinstalation? If that is not the issue....any ideas? I get alternating screens indicating numbers in long string %, or phases....neither with any moon icons.

Renaming the old dll is not important for it to work. This is suggested as a backup. Try this:

1. Before you install the new dll, make sure it's not in use by unchecking WeatherPanel in the Today settings, then soft reset.

2. Copy the new dll into the same folder containing weatherpanel.dll. If you've installed weatherpanel to your storage card, this will be storage card\program files\marsware\weatherpanel.

3. Go back into your Today settings and recheck weatherpanel.

4. Perform an update.

The only step I did not do was a soft reset BEFORE replacing the dll...I will try that now, and get back with results.

OK...just did the procedure with the extra soft-reset.....nothing. I still get all days at 0% waning cresent, and no images for the moons.

Any ideas?

uninstall the application
reinstall the application

then follow the steps.

Its what I did and It works fine now

eventhough I hate to (I had a heck of a time getting it on my replacement....for some reason it kept only half-way install) I will try again!! Wish me luck, I will get back to you on my results.

I am running 2.5.1 Trial08 and the weatherpanel DLL is actually in \Program Files\Marsware\WeatherPanel, not on the storage card. Might this be the solution to your problem?

Just tried that, it totally froze my phone, I had to un-install, and re-install. I did see that the dll did NOT form in the program file on the SD card, but on the phone like you mentioned. I replaced the dll (following ALL the instructions), and still nothing!!! I guess I am just not meant to have moon phazes on this phone. The kicker is...I did get it working on my first phone, I do not know what is going wrong on this one!

OK...now it is totally crashing my phone every time I do anything with it. I tried to go back to the original setup, and for some reason everytime I do this, I have to do a soft reset, uninstall, soft reset, and install again. I don't know what is going on with it, but I think moon phasing is out for me!!

Wow...maybe try a hard reset if you are willing to try one more thing...
