PointUI - New Home UI Revolution - MERGED
Wow this does actually look pretty good.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pUBWYErW3s http://there-is-no-place-like-home.com/ 4 more days huh, I cant wait! |
Looks good!
its too bad i can't check out the homepage on my phone :-p
looks sweet.
I take it you have a 2nd gen rx7, kouki? |
is this Windows Mobile's answer to iPhones?
Looks nice, only one thing that bothers me a bit... To go to a menu on the right, you have to slide your finger to the right. Looks more intuitive if you slide left, to slide away the current menu, just like the hand cursor on a pdf for example that you slide up to scroll down...
i wonder if its gonna cost anything....

thanx for the reply ^^ |
I'm all over this when it comes out!
I can't wait to try it out on the 1st :) I wonder how much memory it uses.
Wow, it looks amazing...hopefully it doesn't hog up the resources, looks nice.
Looks interesting. Hopefully I won't be too hungover to play with it...
Should be fun to play with. I hope you can change the theme but even without that in the initial release, it looks to be a nice, smooth shell that will work great with touch-screen devices. I sometimes wonder why small teams like this can put out such great software while the official software is so clunky. Maybe that is one goal in putting this out for free: it's a resume!
I hope scrolling can be fixed, the scrolling in that video is backwards (up should scroll down, not up).

Its available for download already, but it needs alot of work I tried it on my titan, its not yet independent, you still have to go back to windows for a few things.
for some reason its not working for me. when i attempt to extract it on my phone, i get an error message stating "its not a valid pocket pc app"

Not sure but in the youtube thread, one of the devs says that it has been tested on "an i-mate K-Jam. TI OMAP850 @ 195MHz 240x320px" and "on a dodgey old iPaq running WM2003 with no drop in performance." Either way this seems like the beginning of a cool project. I will be interested in how the initial release goes and how it evolves over time. |

looks promising still, i'm wainting on more feedback from other users...
pretty speedy and nice, a great shell that can be exited but runs over everything, including the start menu and all that jazz. just wish there were more customization options within itself, specifically with layout, program choice, and theme. I don't like the blue much, and I don't use WMP (the default music button). but I'm looking forward to updates and it's a very cool software to be sure.
Where is the link? When I click on the site, it still says that there's still 11 hours to go
