Yea, this program needs to be MUCH more customizable for it to catch on. I dont like how half the icons behave, and the scrolling is completely awkward.

I just put it on my backup phone (Treo 700wx) to play around with it...

Still needs a program closer, thats the most frustrating thing to me

I appologize everyone. Yesterday, somewhere in this thread, I was able to find a link that showed how to customize the main screen icons of pointui. I searched today and I could not find. If anybody could direct me to that link, it would be greatly appreciated.

There's a lot of work that's been done on it, both with the main program and exterior ones.

There's pocketCM skins to make the program match the PointUI theme, both black and blue.

Ditto for today screen backgrounds.

Phone Dialers have been created for both black and blue, as has a windows media player skin.

I believe someone may be working on a calculator reskin. A "wait" icon that is made with the pointUI icon has been made, as well as a boot screen I *Think*.

I'm currently working on a "CubeUI" pointui theme touchflo cube, to give a bit better program launcher to the interface. I'm also hoping to fiddle with TweakUI to try and color the UI to match a bit closer.

The new version as well I believe lets you keep your old top bar, meaning you can use "X" button type managers to close programs. I believe it also has an option to close programs instead of minimzing when you keep its top bar.

So improvements are continually being made, considering its a young program. The developers seem to keep their ears open to the community and include things with each update that are in general wanted, though at the moment a lot of it is focused on bug fixing as well as it is a free project. Its got a lot of potential, espicially if they ever go open source.

I am pretty impressed. I have installed a pretty heavy kitchen on my XV6700 and this runs very smoothly on top of that still. Keep up the cool work.

Re: PointUI - New Home UI Revolution - MERGED

I've been reading up on this. It looks cool, I want to install it on my Touch but I already have SPB Mobile shell. Will PointUI override that or do I have to uninstall SPB first? I would assume having both would cause a major lag in the device.

i'm not quite sure how they would both operate on the same device... i couldnt imagine that they would play well with eachother... but there's only one way to find out. let us know how it goes.

Re: PointUI - New Home UI Revolution - MERGED

Have the PointUI developers got their act together in the uninstall department yet? I installed an earlier version of PointUI and had to do a complete wipe to get it off my device....
