I'm unclear from this thread if this latest fix works on all PPC devices. I saw some mention of previous try not working on the Sprint Touch (and I experienced that myself). Since this thread is in the general "Software" forum, it may be helpful for people to mention what device they are using when the say if it works for them or not.

Lennyish and Yuma--
Sorry for the delay on the report back--I was actually out of power for several days at my home in southern Iowa from the storm last week (thank goodness for generators) and, so, got behind at work. S2U2 seems to do the trick--my only complaint is that it sometimes doesn't lock my phone when I initiate a call (I do have it set to darken the screen while on a call) and so, a few times, I have bumped a my call button while on a call which activates a three way calling dialtone. But all and all I'm pleased. Thanks again for making the app for me. I know the remainder of this post is a little OT, but since my primary part is on topic, I figure no one will complain if I ask the question here (I'll also search for an answer on the forum)--I just got an A2DP headset for my son's mp3 player that also has a mic and the handsfree profile. I thought I would sync it to my 6700 and see if I could use it for MP3 from the 6700 and for answering calls. I have aku 3.3 official release from Verizon and the A2DP works fine EXCEPT--from my limited attempts it seems that the stereo audio channel is always open (unless you unselect the A2DP profile). Is there anyway to close and open it? |

Re: Transfer Caller Announcement to BT headset
i didn't get this file with your latest verison on your first post.
Just set your ring tone to "silent" (it's included with my prog. when u install) and you hear everything. (make sure your VC settings are set to announce incoming calls) i read thru this forum and the other that you posted on another site. i rename it with the extension .cab soft reset the phone after installation manually start your program set to announce incoming calls set to hands free only and the other options in there can't seem to find silent on my phone setting. i tested a song and click my jawbone to say open audio, it works. i tried calling myself but no voice was coming thru my jawbone, but thru the phone. if i missed something, let me know. samsung i760 wm6 the only thing missing is the silent |

Re: Transfer Caller Announcement to BT headset
I went into view your _setup.xml file and see where the silent ring tone might be installed at. it's in Windows >> Rings >> and I see Silent. I don't know where to place it in...
I went to seetings >> sounds & notifications >> notfications. Event: PHone: Incoming Call Ring Type: Ring Once Ring Tone: Silent I tried to set in Ring Type: Vibrate, but it disabled the Ring Tone: |

Re: Transfer Caller Announcement to BT headset
hi guiys i am new here and i have a tytn II with MS voice command 1.6 and the id transfer v1.00 progam installed and i cannot get the phone to announce the caller id name under any circumstances. I am using the old verision of the program because the link for the new verision here downloaded a corrupt file repeatedly. previously i had an xv 6700 with both of those programs installed and caller id announcement and id transfer worked perfectly. do i need famework 2.0? i made sure announce incomming calls was checked also. please help, please please, it is unbearable to have to pull out the phone to see who is calling.

reading from his thread, it seems to work for everyone else. I downloaded his applicaiton and it doesn't work on my i760. I followed the instruction:
set your voice command to annouce calls. set phone ring to ring and silent make sure that my bluetooth is on hands free (also tried all 3 options) Set phone tone to HIGH. restarted phone. the only thing that is working is open audio to listen to my music via BT. I would love for it to annouce callers via BT. would love it. |
