Better place to install program...

I have an XV6800 and a 6 gig mem card...
I have downloaded a lot of apps, including WAD WA3 and Torx awesome iphone theme and have installed all of them directly to the memory card.
I have noticed though that obviously with a lot of programs running the phone tends to slow down, this is fine since I expect that. But is it better for me to install all the programs to the main memory instead of the memory card? Does anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance.

Well...the rule of thumb for where to install apps is any Today plug-ins you install on the device, and others are OK on the card. After that, it is basically dealers choice. I have 99% of my apps on my card with the exception of Today appd (WeatherPanem, MobileShell) Apps that don't give a choice (Googlemaps...), and a couple I just use ALL the time (call firewall, and TV Guide (when I can get one that works LOL).

That is just my experience with this, good luck in configuring to your likes!!

If you have a program that will be running in the background all the time then install it to main memory. If you have a program that you will run then manually close it then you can install that on the memory card (i.e. gps navigation software).

With the amount of flash memory built into the Mogul, I install just about everything in main memory.

IDK why you wouldnt install all of your programs on the main memory instead of the flash unless you run out of space or something. The main memory just sits there as wasted space if I install everything on my flash memory. Its not like the main memory is needed much as a cache, just like 20 megs or so is needed. I personally like to keep my external flash for all of my media.
