I'm sure it would be a great idea until someone used it to measure the weight of their bowling ball or, I dunno, themselves... lol.

who cares what anyone wants to weigh with it, it's a great idea. Hell, it'd be damn handy in science courses.

Actually i just thought, it would never equalize because it doesn't have a spring behind it. Meaning the initial pressure if what you get. So depending on how you set it on there the measurement would vary by the height it was let go from. Depending on the sensitivity, a few µ-meters could matter.

No, no...that's not the concept. The point is that it's digital from the get go. There is no mechanical spring to mess with. The digitizer/OS has it's own set of values to begin with. The only problem is to replace our passive digitizers with an active one...such as those on tablet PCs.

this should be doable, and very cool, can't do that w/ an i-phone. It could be calibrated w/ coins..

No officer, I dropped my phone in flour, while baking a cake. I like the concept, very useful.

Most Accurate Scales do not use a spring, They pass an electrox current through the top plate, the weight causes small fluctuations in the metal, and thus is interpeted into Weight
