Thanks hellion for the info. I don't see the need to post the key if anyone could obtain one from cequint. Just my thought.

"This program caused connectivity issues for my GSM 3G phone. My data network would connect fine, but after a phone call it would not re-connect. not sure where u found this app Mal, but if you can let the developer know about my issue. I am 85 percent certain this app was the problem."

I'm using the XV6700 and I am 100% certain that cityID is causing the same problem as the one listed above...I tested this several times...not sure how to contact the developer on this, but there are several other people on another forum having the same problem. Yes, I did try the 2.1 beta and the problem persists.

I have emailed cequint.

I might be able to answer a question or two for you. I emailed the cequint rep who sent me the 2.1 beta about some of the connectivity problems some people was having including myself with the internet a while back. According to him, "they" do monitor various PPC forums and have concluded that the "majority" of the people having these problems are using modded ROMS with missing files from the manufactures original settings. And to also remember most importantly this is still a beta for us Pocket PC users so there will still be many bugs for some people and some not. Currently I have no problems with this at all.

As a side note one program that really screwed my stuff up was that Smaato Cost. That was an horrible experience. Slow downs, internet messing up and the list keeps going.

Well, "they" need to realize that cityID causes this problem for me after a hard reset, so it is obviously a problem with their software. I'm not using any "modded" ROM, and I am not the only one...several people at pdaphonehome forums are having the same problem after hard resets. I understand it's a beta, that's exactly why I sent an email to the company to alert them of the issue on a completely stock, hard reset XV6700.

Hi,
there was a bug causing an infinite loop within an earlier version. This issue has already been fixed for the previous release.
