If you thoroughly read both these threads you will see that i have been contributing feedback the entire time. I have no control over the fact users are not reading whats been posted, dont believe the info as its not what they want to hear and instead prefer to "beat a dead horse" so to speak. If you understand how this app and its service work then it would make sense what i am telling you here (short of cloning your handset to a Touch ESN, i imagine that would work). Rather than continuing to repeat myself you can search my posts and see for yourself. As a personal retort, It is apparent and clear what my insight is doing to assist, but what exactly are you doing to positively contribute? Lastly if you really "want to achieve your goal" then i would recommend you upgrade to a Touch, sign up with MobiTV or switch to a carrier and handset which actively support your needed features. Thanks in advance for your understanding.

I can not understand how difficult is to follow the description? Other than occasional hiccup from the network, the mod works great except two channels: Cartoon network and discover mobile for now, maybe more in the future.

I have the Touch and it works for the free channels. It use to work for all channels when we had the hack. And it use to work for my mogul also.
I disagree with people saying the hack never completely worked. It did work. Even though one had to change/replace the cache it did work. I use to get all channels! Because it did work, SPRINT started deleting cache and when there was a hack for that, SPRINT started filtering and when there was a hack for that, SPRINT started VID. If there was a hack that can make this work and SPRINT wasn't aware of it and they felt their last security check was good they would not be wasting their time to have another security check in place since they think that the last one worked. But they know their last security check DID NOT work so they again created another secruity check and that way it's not working AGAIN. So it has nothing to do with the hack itself. It's that SPRINT doesn't want people to use it with hacks. It's either they are following the forums or there is a snitch, either way, it's the same. As for the Mogul, if my data plan includes SPRINT TV which it does, then I should be able to get it, hacked or not. And if they don't want to give it then they should give some type of credit to mogul owners with data plans that include SPRINT TV. So with that said, LETS HANG THE SNITCH - LOL |

They have been filtering subscriber info since day one as this is a MobiTV powered product. Validation didnt just appear because of this app being released into the wild, its commonly how they handle app based subscription services. Everytime you establish a data connection subscriber info is used to validate your access, everything you do is logged and filed temporarily. There were additional steps taken prior to the launch of the Touch in an attempt to stop non-sprint subscribers from using the app. This is when the cache tweak came about. The deletion is more about memory release than security. It just so happens that part of the subscriber info is in the cache which appears to be why it works for a time being when the cache is replaced. I am not sure why you say you disagree with me when i say it never fully worked. the evidence speaks for itself. If it fully worked then we would not have these posts and these never ending discussions would we? You would happily be watching your premium STV services without paying for it and without issue wouldnt you? if it fully worked it would not be necessary to reload the cache, would it? The cache works until its updated by the system or deleted then you have to reload it, far from a permanent solution. However i do agree, clearly it works as a temp solution. Sure there is hope for this, if you can monitor the data stream as well as the subchannel info handed by the phone to the network you may be able to emulate the process, but heck cloning a touch esn would just be easier.
