How to back up the registry
What's the best way to back up the registry using either utilities that come with the phone or a free utility?

I attempted to back up the entire registry with regedit. That resulted in a file with an .rbk extension. When I restored my registry with this file it crashed WinMo and I had to perform a hard reset (clear storage) to get back into the phone.

In PHM RegEdit, tab and hold on the key you want to export. Then select "Export" from the menu. This creates a .REG file.

The best way is using CeRegEditor(free) it allows you to view and back up your registry from your PC via ActiveSync connection.
