I tried to mess with the same settings and still no luck. Any other suggestions instead of removing and re-installing?

The default GPS COM port is COM4. Go into settings in bing navigation and change it from intermediate gps device to COM4 everything should work fine after that.

Re: bing mobile updated now with turn by turn directions

Just wanted to thank those that reported on the navigation Vs vznav problems and solutions. I was able to get my navigation going. I bought Copilot last year - but it doesn't announce street names and it announces your turns about 5 seconds after you pass them. Not real good.

Re: bing mobile updated now with turn by turn directions

Is there any way to bypass the "this device is not supported . please download the previous version of bing at blah, blah, blah". It works on my omnia but then shuts down after I click OK on this dialog box.

Regardless of what I do. I can't get bing to "find my location", it just hangs at the Locating screen.. I'm using a Sprint Touch Pro 2. It worked fine. My other location services such as weather and stuff work fine.
Any suggestions. I read the thread, tried COM4, intermediate GPS, etc. regardless when I choose directions, and I want to enter my current location by choosing the locate me button it won't work. If I enter directions manually it just hangs on the searching for GPS screen, Google maps works fine as usual. If I change teh com port to COM 0, I get make sure you have a clear shot at the sky..Worked first try on the first version.- Thanks in adavance..

2) Telenav gives a better route (Bing sent me on a highway when an obvious short cut existed)
3) Bing grabs a chunk of about 5MB of memory and won't let it go even when it exits (but doesn't seem to grab any more if you restart it again)
4) I like Telenav's voice better (I know, personal preference) but I do wish I could adjust the volume of it
5) I like the screen that Telenav uses better (especially the direction going on top of screen instead of North)

Just my opinion. To some, it may not be worth the extra $10 a month
Bing used to be great. It worked evertime. Now they changed it so it won't work..Maybe sprint paid them so you have to use telenav

Re: bing mobile updated now with turn by turn directions

I removed Bing Live(the one that came with the phone, the white icon, it's stored in "my documents", Now Bing is able to "locate", now bing works.. GPS is set to com4 @ 4800 baud as usual, Bing is set to <intermediate>, don't know if it will work tommorow, but it knows where I am in seconds, it locates in seconds. It works again.
