Re: [WM] PPCGeeks SD ROM Flasher v1.0

So I have to extract the .exe file on my PC, look for the .RUU file included in the ROM's folder, and then copy/paste that into the SD card's root directory, but once I paste it, then rename the .RUU (or just RUU?) to "RHODIMG.nbh" manually adding the .nbh myself and THEN the PPC SD ROM FLASHER will function and flash correctly all from the cell phone? This is great news, as long as everything I typed above is correct; I had just hoped that the SD FLASH app would be truly PC independent flashing; but this is the next best thing I suppose. If my phone is already cradled and synced with my PC though, why wouldn't I just double click the MightyROM icon and let it flash as usual via the PC? PS: The current MightyROM I have installed is the most recent, I believe, that has the auto-update-notice built in to let the user know when a new release is posted, but I haven't seen any activity in weeks and weeks, has Mighty been busy or is my phone just messed up and not notifying me? I am trying to Flash to the WAR (latest release posted on mightyrom.com) would this kind of be silly since I'm already using the latest true MightyROM build?

Re: [WM][Feb 28] PPCGeeks SD ROM Flasher v1.1

I'm not truly a full fledged newbie, I've been flashing and updating as each MightyROM is released since last year on my TP1 and then (current) TP2 devices; but my knowledge is strictly relegated and limited to flashing technique only, the more involved intricacies escape me. Can SD Flasher be used solely to flash, independent of a PC altogether, or as I posted above, does the RUU file have to be extracted via PC and then pasted into the SD card's root via Active Sync or Device Explorer in MyComp? Every time I try to select the MightyROM icon on my cell phone via File Explorer, it says "Not a valid PPC application," so I'm guessing I have to involve a PC at some point. I am really excited about the next couple months of the Android development though, having free GPS turn by turn on my TP2 would be amazing - but for now I've remained very loyal to MightyROM since I don't know a lot of other ROM's that are as stable or feature rich out there. |

Just dl the .exe to ur phone, extract the .nbh file using pocket rar darren posted above and place the .nbh in the root of the sd and ur good to go. no need for a pc at all. it takes a while but u can do it all on ur ppc.

Re: [WM][Feb 28] PPCGeeks SD ROM Flasher v1.1
I assume you mean the program would extract the .nbh from the .exe file? If so, I think it would be great, then you wouldn't need to even extract, it would take a couple of steps out the whole process.

I'll look into adding (time permitting) of course with warnings tho cause the nbh at least stock ones contain other files such as radio.
