Re: Dashwire 2.0 (Updated 6/24/08)

One of my favorite features is the web portal for sending/receiving texts, and checking on missed calls.

I work in large server rooms on a regular basis, and this way, I can just leave my phone in my car where it will actually GET reception, and I can just use my phone remotely.

The only thing I wish Dashwire would do, is update outgoing texts FROM the dashwire site, back to the phone--again, this has to do with the fact that Dashwire does not sync texts back to the phone--but for this purpose, it would be great.

I like having hard copies of all my texts, just in case something were to happen, so I always PIMbackup everything, once a week, but I find myself not really caring what is stored on the phone. I like the ability to go through (almost) all my texts/calls on the dashwire site... It's much easier than using the phone for this... plus, our phones can only store 300 calls... Dashwire is a great deal more versatile in this case...

I'm still using the old client until the new one's pop-up problem is resolved.

Dashwire: I will probably install the new one in the next few days, so I can send you the logs...

I do the same thing...working in a hospital's radiology department you can't imagine the interferance I get!! Another thing I love is the ability to add photo's to my phone at home, and have them available to show off at work without even having my phone with me!!!

I mentioned the text issue to DashWire during the beta, and I believe this was something they were going to work on, so.....who knows!!

I've been out of the Dashwire loop for a bit but am eager to start using it again. What's the process for adding pics from your home pc to your Dashwire dashboard?

late,
Coz

They don't have it implimented yet for transfer directly to DashBoard. I transfer pics from my PC to my DCIM folder (that I have re-assigned to my storage card), after the next sync, I'm good to go.

As said, we currently don't support this feature. There are ways to work around it like the storage card thing but look for this feature in the future!
