I hate to contradict you as well, but I have done all the things you mentioned without issue!! In fact, the syncing of pics is so good that I had trouble keeping up with the syncing to delete a pic from both LOL!!!!

ok, I'm happy. I figured out a way to not get dashwire to pop up.

from a fresh re-set of the phone this is what I do:

1) start dashwire
2) force close dashwire by holding down the red X at the top right(i use quick menu)
3) start dashwire again. for whatever reason it doesn't show the interface when you start it again, but it runs in the background.

this is great, works just the way i want it to, never pops up, and still does all the features.

I close mine accidentally the way you describe, I will have to watch next time because I never noticed what your describing, thanks for mentioning it, I will try it on purpose to see if it works!!!
