I know I can export and import. I want to import right into Dashwire. If they want to make this service work well, then I shouldn't have to depend on Outlook at all.

Agree with you. Plan is to roll out contact imports during our holiday release (plus lots of other goodies...).

Unfortunately, for now the workarounds will have to do. Hoping to change that though...

Enjoy your weekends!

Idea for Dashwire

So I've got my wife's mogul synced with Dashwire but the other day, her phone died while we were out and she needed a number off her contacts. We were in the car and I had my phone and thought it'd be nice to log into my.dashwire.com and get a mobile interface that lets you search your contacts, etc. I know this probably won't be a normal situation because people will usually be able to log into their dashwire account from a pc or laptop but it'd be nice to have when this happens.

I also thought about using skyfire to log in but by the time I thought about it she said nevermind.

Yeah...it's kind of embarrassing being a mobile solutions provider without a functioning mobile web site. Not high on the cool scale.

We're doing some pretty sweet integration work with a hot device launching this holiday. It's a good forcing function for us to improve our mobile web experience. Accessing contacts isn't in the first wave, but in the medium term we want to give users a spotlight-like search option of your account from the web.

We'll keep cranking...

Re: Dashwire 2.0 (Updated 6/24/08)

anyone else having this problem...

twice this week my phone locked up, when doing a soft reset, all my text messages (maybe 6) that I sent and/or received in the prior hour or 2 were gone off the phone, when I checked the dashwire site, none of those messages were on the site, messages from earlier were there so I know dashwire is updating

my question, when does dashwire actually update the text messages, etc.. after the messages window is closed? if so, that could be my problem, cause I usually will leave the current conversation open.. or does it update everytime a message is sent/received..

I'm running touch on sprint

thanks in advance

Re: Dashwire 2.0 (Updated 6/24/08)

I've browsed through this thread a little and wasn't able to find anything - disclaimer being I haven't read every one of the posts in the 25 some threads.

Is calendar sync going to be integrated in Dashwire?
