That does happen a lot to me as well. I mentioned it back in beta and DashWire mentioned they would think about it. I was thinking a little script that keeps the app in the background until manually called upon...either by them or written by one of the mortscript guys in here or XDA would do it.

I think they are still looking into it, they tend to stick to these little things we bring up, they are good like that!!!

Well if you have contacts on your phone Dashwire will sync them to your Dashwire homepage. If you're trying to import from another source (i.e., Outlook, etc.), then I don't think you can do this with Dashwire...but as with so many other things in life I may be wrong about that.

late,
Coz

However, you could always sync your pc and ppc via ActiveSync to get at your contacts and then sync with your Dashwire account.

Re: Dashwire 2.0 (Updated 6/24/08)

A little more exciting DW news for you all -

After passing our 1 millionth mobile phone-to-web photo upload a while back (after only 3 months of public beta!), we figured it’d be a shame to keep all of that content to ourselves. That’s why we’ve decided to start highlighting the best-of-the-best in content that you’re uploading and publishing on your Dashwire shared pages.

The plan is to select a “Picture of the Day” from the content you’ve decided to publish and broadcast it daily over Twitter, Friendfeed, and our Facebook fan page. We’ll be posting a weekly recap on our blog, and some of the main forums we’re active on.

We’ll also be highlighting a “User of the Week” for community members that we feel have great shared pages rich with titles, descriptions, tags and comments. If you think you’ve got a sweet picture or shared page in general, then go ahead and hit us up with a link to your photo or shared page by e-mailing showcase@dashwire.com. If we see enough interest, then we’re hoping to evolve this into a device giveaway contest or something to that effect.

So start snapping, sharing and submitting!

late,

You can also use this method, to get your outlook contacts synced to the web, and then install the Windows Mobile client, and sync them to your phone.. Then, you can sync those contacts to you Dashwire account.

If you want the more specific details, please PM me.

Re: Dashwire 2.0 (Updated 6/24/08)

Just wanted to give a heads up to Dashwire users: as of last night (or so we believe), the CallWave widget is down. We're currently working on a fix and we hope to have it figured out soon.

edit:

CallWave's back up and running
