exactly what registry hacks remnant? you mean the battery hack? and wifi, how do you turn that off? and the beams, just the unchecked box in connections means beams off? are you sure your phone wasn't plugged in while you were doing all that stuff?

What do you take me for, an idiot??

Of course it wasn't plugged in!

I turned the wifi switch on the phone to off... I did the 4 reg hacks in this very thread (setting all values listed to 0 - there's 4 of them). Yes, the unchecked box in connections means beams are off.

The main drain on the phone IMO is the LCD brightness and the time before the phone's LCD light goes off. I don't take mine off 30 seconds.

Are you using the charger that came from the phone? Most of the 3rd Party USB chargers I've seen do not have the Amperage needed... You might want to charge your phone via your Computer and see if the charge holds... If so, you need a better quality charger...

Replace the phone.

Its obviously defective if two different batteries are exhibiting the same poor battery life. Its refurb time for you man, sorry to say.

maybe you haven't been following along the whole thread remnant, but this is a new phone I swapped out last saturday, not even a week old. before that I swapped out two batteries as well on the first phone and now two on this phone making it 4 new batts. total. I find it hard to believe that 2 brand new phones and 4 brand new batteries are all defective. I even have the extended battery on here and I see no difference from standard battery. after a 5 min. or so phone call theres at least a 10% batt loss and godforbid I go on internet. everythings turned off that can be, hacks are in place, hell whatever else. im just not having any luck with this shit phone. where i used to worry when being on phone with outgoing calls about minutes used, im now more worried if the phones going to die or or not. how do you people stand it? is this how all pda's are? sure remnant, you might have the holy grail of mogul's, super duper battery life, blahh blahh...but you must be the one and only person who is because on other sites such as this, everyone, and i mean EVERYONE, is having crap battery life. so count yourself lucky.
as for me, my pos is going back tomorrow--permanently.

Are you fully charging and discharging the phone?

It seems odd to me that you're having so many problems.

And no, I'm not the only one claiming excellent battery life, read up some more.

But yeah, I'm running Windows Mobile 5. Don't know if that's making a difference in the battery life. I didn't even run WM6 for a full day before I dumped it and went back to 5...

MogulUser2,

I may have missed this in the thread, so I apologize in advance.....

Are you running the stock Sprint ROM? If not, I would suggest reflashing to the stock ROM and see if that is still causing your problems. If it is, that would mean either you are getting a series of bad batteries or, as Remnant previously said, even if it's a new phone it's a bad one.

If your battery woes don't show up in the stock ROM, that means something in your custom ROM is causing a severe battery drain (bad registry entry or program). It would most likely be caused by a program that is accessing EVDO constantly....I know this happened when the WeatherPanel server was shut down for a brief time. The program was constantly trying to phone home over EVDO, causing a significant battery drain.

Just my .02.....
