Re: Htc Touch Pro Registry Tweaks
hey HKLM/software/HTC/startupanimation... This is supposed to have options to turn on and off startup animation/sound. When i get to the folder, there is NO OPTIONS! There is just a default folder that's empty. Anyone have a clue?

developers is the keyword in that url. that's where 99% of the developers are that are making all of the things for our phones. It's more of a GSM based forum, with some CDMA stuff (more and more as time goes on), and PPCGeeks is more of a CDMA based forum with some GSM stuff, (again more and more as time goes on). but xda is where TONS of more info comes from. But their servers suck due to the HIGH traffic. I have an account there and a few other places too. |

Re: Htc Touch Pro Registry Tweaks
Not sure if this was mentioned yet, and it works with both the Touch Pro and Diamond -- This registry tweak will eliminate the lag when taking a picture with the camera. It'll also help eliminate a lot of those 'ghosting' pictures that I'm sure all of you have taken.
In your favorite registry editor go to: HKLM/Software/HTC/Camera/Captparam/ and set CaptureTimer = 0 (default=5000 - in DEC) If this helps you please hit the thanks button. :) |
Re: Htc Touch Pro Registry Tweaks

Second, you need to dl a registry editor. Your phone does not come with such a program, as to alleviate the user from being able to tinker with settings, and what not. http://tinyurl.com/m2zq9c |

Re: Htc Touch Pro Registry Tweaks
Just to keep them all in one place, here are two tweaks that I thought others would want to know:
1. Disable HTC dialer/Tachi. The stock/default Windows Mobile dialer isn't quite as pretty, but it is functional and uses up about 10MB less of RAM. There are also many themes developed for it if you wish. (Please note, depending on your rom the ## codes many not function with the stock/default dialer. YMMV!) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Phone\Skin Change the value of 'Enabled' from 1 to 0. Credit: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...86&postcount=1 2. Solve 'some' of the ring delay issues in the HTC Dialer/Tachi by disabling the 'incoming call annoucement' in Microsoft Voice Command. Go to start/setting personal tab at bottom/voice command/highlight phone/options. uncheck announce incoming call feature. There is a registry tweak for this (so you won't have to do it manually), but so-far I have been unable to find it. I will update this post once I do.
