It is not the carrier...since its Microsoft who builds the roms not the carriers...that interval is something that was discovered about 8 months ago by Superman369 from SmartPhoneJunkie.com and is what I (ATR) use in our roms....that is one part of the battery improvements i have made with the roms...

so either you flashed one of our roms, or someone else is using the tweaks from our roms.

----------------------------------
Another BAttery Increase

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\Battery]
change from 5000 to 20000
----------------------------------
Email and Attachments on your Storage Card

Using the file manager in activesync, create the following folders on your Storage Card.

\Inbox
\Inbox\Attachments
Now browse to \Windows\Messaging (SmartPhone) or \Windows\MAPI (PocketPC)
If you want to save all of your existing mail, move everything in this directory to the new ones on your Storage Card.
Now fire up your registry editor and navigate to the following.

For WM5 Phones: [ HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MAPI ]

For WM6 Phones: [ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Inbox\Settings ]

Then create the following STRING VALUES.

Name: AttachPath

Reboot your phone and then goto your inbox. If you can see all of your mail then mission accomplished. Double check your attachments as well.
----------------------------------
Change the location of Ringtone file storage
============NEVER TRIED THIS===============Wondering if this will make the phone take longer to ring
WM will look for Ringtones in \Windows\ or \Windows\Rings by default. You can change this location to, for example, your Storage Card (example given is for ringtones placed on the Storage Card root folder) by a simple Windows Mobile registry tweak.

HKCU\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Ring\Directory = “\Storage Card\” (REG_SZ string, no quotes)

To return to the original location:

HKCU\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Ring\Directory = “\Windows\Rings\” (REG_SZ string, no quotes)

Note the default location may be “\Windows\” or “\Windows\Rings\” depending on your Device provider.
-----------------------------------
You can disable auto-wakeup when keyboard is opened.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Hardware\DeviceMap\Keybd]
Create new dword "SlideWakeup" with value of 0 and soft reset.
-----------------------------------

Dude, where were you two weeks ago when I was surfing all over the net tryin to find these tweaks. None of the places I found them clarified if they worked on the Alltel TP. Everywhere I looked was all Sprint or Verizon. Really nice to see a fellow Alltel tweaker! Do you happen to know if the Internet tweaks listed for Verizon work for Alltel?

BTW, I thanked you!

I have some of the internet tweaks working on my vogue.
and easiest way to tell if they would work on your phone,
is navigate to that registry location,
and see if the registry key is there.
if it is, try the tweak.
I've been using tweaks from different phones and from wm6.0, wm6.1.
I have been running 6.5 for the past month or two.

I agree.

I know this isnt good practice, but sometimes when im bored i go hunting around in my registry for something interesting. Like i found the settings for panorama pics and i tried to change it from 3 pics to five, but it didnt work. :( I did however turn on a bunch of other camera modes that had been hidden, including GPS photo. My favorite so far. :)

Care to share where you foudn that gps photo?
I'll be getting a touch pro soon, and would like that if it's available.

Also, I use phmregedit,
you can search the registry and find all kinds of things.

How do u even do these things your talking about??? Yeah im a noob sorry lol.

You need a good registry editor for starters... I myself use Resco Registry which is packaged with one of the best file explorers to date IMHO... It's not free so if u don't wanna go that route try PHM Registry Editor
it's good as well...

yeah, phm is real simple.
But if you'd link anon, message me with the reg tweaks you'd like,
and I'll cab them up so you just have to install like a regular program.

Really nice. So would i need that program or do I just ask u about these cab files that do everything for me. Tweaking my phone like that, i might brick my phone lol. Thats why i scared to get a cooked rom, I rather wait for an offical update from sprint or htc if it comes. I dont know about anybody else but my tp came without the word completion so I feel dumb sometimes in front of grammer nazis. O yeah sorry for jacking the thread.

Which one should phm file should I get? The site said the best one was the desktop installer with active sync. There was also a cab file that was i think arm/psx 2002-2003 version, any clue?

If you want, just send me what reg edits you want in a cab and I'll make them for you.

Activesync will choose the right cab for your phone to install.
That's probably why they said its the best one.
But I'm 99.9% sure it's the arm cab.
That's what I've used on my TP and Vogue.

I have the tp but either ie or opera wont let me hit the text box to post. Stock rom but have spb mobile shell 3.1 beta I believe thats what it said but yeah I can only use skyfire it only bothers me cuz opera or ie is better for reading and posting forms on a site. I think at least hehe
