Increasing the default system font accomplishes this. It works great for WMP, but causes problems with some pop up boxes and other apps.
I don't remember exactly where it is in the registry, but you should be able to find it with a search. |

if you are using a skin for wmp you will be able to change the font size on only wmp without changing it for the whole system if you edit the size through the .SKN file, just open it up in notepad on your desktop and you can change the text size
