I've a few questions / concerns about a few of the above tweaks (note: I've already searched this thread to no avail):

1) Is it necessary to Unlock your phone before the 2 video enhancement cabs will work?

2) If 1) is YES, then will Unlocking the phone VOID any warranty / insurance on the phone?

3) Regardless of 1) and 2), is it possible to uninstall the cab, thus "relocking" your phone?

4) What exactly does the "BatteryHackOnly" do? Does it adjust backlight settings? Dim the backlight? Does it go beyond something like LUMOS ?

5) Has the success of "internet speed hack" been confirmed?

correct me if im wrong but i believe you only need to unlock your phone to flash custom roms and most of the cabs here are on the remove programs list, but if it is not, and you are taking the phone back and dont want anything extra on it just do a hard reset and then it will be restored to factory default anyways.

1) No it is not necessary to un-lock your phone before installing any .cab file.
2)Yes un-locking your phone does void your warranty, however your phone can be seemingly re-locked.
3)No .cab truly unlocks your phone, the .cab you are referring to can be removed if necessary.
4)The battery hack increases the performance in variety of ways. Which I can't personally attest to because this is always cooked into ROM's I use.
5)I believe I have read in a few places that this hack does work and I know this is also cooked into ROM's people have been building.

You are right about unlocking but there is no.cab to unlock your phone for flashing. If you are taking the phone back depending on which one it is you usually place the hard spl. that is provided back on your phone then flash the official ROM from your provider.

no the second part was if he installed the .cabs he was refering to in his post, i was saying he doesnt have to unlock his phone in order to install those cabs. and he asked if they could be removed. make sure you read the whole sequence not just the last post

I went ahead and installed the apps without unlocking my phone; the installations were a success.

The Video enhancement app (the MJPEG version) gave me a slightly higher resolution option than the "L" option initially provided.

AFAIK, the BatteryHackOnly and the InternetSpeedHack have not made a significant difference, if any at all. Of course, that could be because they need to be cooked in, as you previouslly stated hooover.

The internet speed hack worked great prior to the 6.1 ROM. After that, it didn't work.

Did you notice any difference when taking vid?? did the improvements work?
Does the battery hack work, or is it for 6.0 only and not for 6.1 too?

The only difference I noticed in taking vids. was that the resolution was slightly better: CIF 352x288 vs L 320x240.

As for the battery hack, no noticable differences.
