I've seen a few posts before of people asking the same thing.

The 6800 is rather quiet when it comes to music, video, ringtones etc. I would be very pleased to learn that someone has found a way to remedy this problem that has plagued a wonderful p.d.a.

I know that the cab files are a quick fix for the most part(aside from the hard work that goes into creating them) but if someone can make it so the volume overall on the phone is increased, that would be great!!

I don't know how to be specific, but if I could watch a movie without having headphones on and understand it, that would be good enough for me. 50%-75% increase?

no2chem has a cab file that edits the audiopara.csv on the 6800. Look for it here... http://www.weienterprises.com/nue ...I thinks its called neuaudiopara. The audiopara.csv file controls the different volumes for the earpiece, speaker, headset, bluetooth, etc. Way more so than the standard system volume controls.

I just loaded neuaudiopara but it returned an error message saying I needed a newer version of "microsoft.NET compact framework" - not sure how I go about getting that update?

did you get a response to this - I saw one by "GoodThings 2 Life" but in the "requests" folder on his/her ftp filee the only one I saw was a hack which disabled the Today screen voicemail icon, NOT the balloon messages you were talking about.

EDIT you might also need Total Commander or a program like it. Its just a better version (IMO) of a file explorer

tried all this but it seems my audiopara.cvs is read-only. I tried changing this parameter using total commander (maybe I have to the full version, can't remember if TE is trialware or limitedware or whateverware)

I'm a semi-noob feeling like a true noob this PM! What am I missing? something basic I'll bet.

Is there anyway possible for someone to make a cab for 6.1 threaded sms messages. I dont want to upgrade to 6.1 but I wanted the threaded text messages without getting a 3rd party application. Is it possible?

Not yet... I believe it's been determined that the new Outlook depends on too many 6.1 core files.

You can try this or this.If you require .NET 3.5 it is in the FTP folders linked in my signature.

The balloon is part of the Sound / Notifications control panel applet. Although you can change it by registry setting, I personally advise against it since those values are easily overwritten by software installs / settings. One example that comes to mind is the Spb Phone Suite's Profiles.
