Re: So I am going underway for 4 months and need some app ideas

You guys are all recommending pretty difficult stuff... Most of those are hacks/tweaks, not apps. CDMA/GSM at the same time? Come on- how is that an "app"?!

OP, I've got something simple that I've been looking for, but just don't have to time/patience to code...
A music player with a text search.
Think about it- I was playing with GrooveFish/Nanogroove, and I realized that it was easier to find music by typing in keywords to the search (artist name or title, etc) than it was to scroll around and find specific music in WMP or other popular music players.

I'm picturing it using some kind of real time SQL query, similar to the way you can start typing letters when your outlook inbox is open, and the list will narrow down as you type.

Windows Media Player supports something like this, however you have to put what category you wish to search it first (artist, album, genre, etc). When I'm in the car, I don't want to look at the screen much, but it would be cool to start typing an artist, and then select which songs to add to the current playlist from the results.

Shouldn't be too hard, right?
