Download the attached file. Create folder on desktop something like 'Manila'. Connecct phone to computer, open the editor, select the folder you just created. Now, from the top menu select 'Device/Import from Device'. It will take a couple minutes to pull all the manila files from the phone. Quick note on what needs to be done:

1) The slider manila file for stock 6.5 SenseUI 2.1 (Verizon) is no longer 79daf061_manila (which is what is in your base image cab) but 1e29e8e7_manila. Simply renaming that file after installing your base image cab (after performing all necessary steps to "overwrite" ROM files) and soft rebooting allows for a transparent slider.

2) It is off-center, however. I don't know which mode-9 files control that or what you changed in each one to fix the centering.

I'm also not sure if it needs both slider icons or not in the base image cab file for the stock 6.5 SenseUI 2.1 ROM.

Update:

I've got it working with a single manila file modified. By pulling 1e29e8e7_manila from chuckz07 transparent slider (C07 Transparent Slider Only.cab) and installing it after installing the Mode9 Fix V3 I have a centered transparent slider on my Verizon OEM 6.5 SenseUI 2.1 upgraded TP2.

So, in short, install the Mode9 fix and then extract 1e29e8e7_manila from the attached cab (or just get the manila file that I've already extracted for you lazy people )and copy it to your \Windows directory (do NOT install the cab, your icons will get all funky).

Attached are my manilla files. The attached file above does work but it creates a small double icon on the selected tab. Seen in picture below. Not a huge deal since I now have a transparent slider.

With the overlapping icons, you do not have a true tranparent slider. Uninstall the mode9 fix and reinstall it. I will try to take a look at the manila files some time today.

@drewcam888: I only had that if I hadn't installed the Mode9 fix first. The Mode9 cab fixes the offset I believe (or at least that's what I was able to gather from comparing the original and the modified versions). I got a headache after about 3 minutes.

@chuckz07: cool beanz. The official US Verizon ROM could probably be made to work with the skinnier slider but I would say since the default is wider just go with the wider one.

I am gonna guess it is that retractable slider. Uninstall it and see if problem is fixed.
