There's also app's out ther, pocket rar is one, that you can keep on your phone to unrar compressed files, but I only use that if I absolutely have to, as it seems to take longer to unrar/unzip a file on your phone versus on your pc and just transfer the cab to your sd card.

yeah good advice. as info, winrar for pc can decompress .zip, .rar, and .7z files. pocket rar for ppc can take care of .zip and .rar.
i was trying to say earlier that you only need to decompress the files if they are NOT cab files. for example, if the file is zzz.rar, zzz.7z or zzz.zip. if it is something like zzz.cab then it's ready to install on your phone.
