Re: Change your carrier logo banner!
If you are running a stock 6.1 manila, your logo is contained in \Windows\443d5315_manila. I'm guessing that Brent372's cab is replacing that file. (I haven't looked at the cab . . . Brent . . pls correct me if I am wrong.) If you don't have that file in \Windows, I'm guessing that Brent's cab won't work, at least for now. As Brent pointed out, if there is no file to replace, then it's probably not referenced by whatever is supposed to point at it (<<-- vague statement . . lol).
If you're running 6.5 (MightyROM, etc), there is no 443d5315_manila file, and simply adding it won't work. I think that the logo is coded in another manner. In THIS THREAD , jdmsleepr advised that he looked through 6.5's manila files and couldn't find the logo. (Post 584 and some others before it.) If you're looking for other logos, that thread is a good source. It's gonna suck if someone can't figure this one out for Manila 2.5. I'm personally running 6.1, so I don't have a Manila 2.5 file set to look at, at least for now. |

Re: Change your carrier logo banner!
Very well put, and you are correct about the manila file.
I have a test TP2 I am flashing with a MightyROM right now. I have also sent NRG (in XDA) a PM to see if he knows a "quick fix" There a 3 types of manila files: graphics, XML and LUA scripts. I am useless with LUA scripts, as it is way above my head. I have, however, indentified a few key XML manila files that might be the key in figuring this out. I am in the process of doing alot of XML edits, installing, rebooting, etc to see if anything works. Give it time.. tougher things have been solved of these forums and XDA! |

A) I am on stock 6.1 Sprint & had tweaked it with MobileMatt's Fuzeberry theme which has Fuzeberry brand where the SPRINT logo was. B) So I used Total Commander to look for the 443d5315_manila file and sure enough it didn't find it under the Windows directory nor the entire device directory. C) Sure that this cab would not install for me but LO & BEHOLD - after installation & rebooting ->>> It popped up & overwrote the Fuzeberry logo. So maybe Brent has found a workaround & just replace if 443d5315_manila is there or write if it's not there? Anyhoo, I am happy! |

Is it possible in your case that maybe you just missed the 443d . . . Doesn't really matter now, though, since you got it working. You should be good to go from here on out should you decide you want to change your logo. I'll bet that any of those cabs in the thread I referenced above will work for you! |

Re: Change your carrier logo banner!
I'm on Mr. X ROM and I've installed the Enable Banner CAB posted earlier in this thread. No Carrier Banner Logo showed up, but I figured I would still try using CFC_GUI to transfer over the one I wanted. I try copying over 443d5315_manila to the device, but it's a no go. What am I missing? Thanks!

Re: Change your carrier logo banner!
OK everybody.
Just wanted to give you all an update. This is what I have found. To enable the carrier logo banner, the file 1c684cd8_manila needs to be edited. This file controls just about everything on the home tab, so it has taken alot of trial and error to figure out exactly what needs to be done. 1 line needs to be changed and 2 needs to be added. In addition to this the file 443d5315_manila needs to be added to the \Windows\ directory. This file is the graphic for the banner logo. Once this is done, and manila restarted, the banner shows up. This has a side effect though. For some reason the carrier name moves from the upper left to the upper right, essentially UNDER the banner we just enabled. For some reason, when I add the lines to enable the banner, 3 or 4 other lines in the file change. The BAD part is that these are LUA scripts and cannot be changed in the mode9 editor. This is where I need help. If you know how, or know somebody that does know how to edit these LUA scripts please get in contact with me. We are so close to getting this working... |
