I am pretty sure that the official VZW 6.5 ROM is Manila 2.1 (I am guessing that you have a programs tab). With that being the case, these sliders will not work for you. You need to get the sliders that brent372 puts together. You can find a link to his site from the ppcmods.com website as well. Just click on "link" from that website.

My pleasure to help...I was once in your shoes and needing assistance from other members...that is what the forums are here for. Unless something has recently changed, the only way that you can get Manila 2.5 is to flash a custom ROM. I am currently running an NRGZ28 (Energy) custom ROM. After using a customer ROM, I can no longer stand to use the stock VZW ROMs. My recommendation would be to go to the CDMA TP2 Upgrades Page (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=98) (since it sounds like you are on VZW. Once you are there, visit the thread that explains how to unlock the phone (required for a custom ROM). Once you review that, you can decide if it is something that you are comfortable with. If you decide to go that route, you can look at trying one of the custom ROMs after the phone is unlocked. Once warning, flashing new ROMs can be addicting, but it is nice to see some of the added features/options that custom ROMs can provide. If you have questions or concerns along the way, just use the forums...there are plenty of people here that are happy to help. Good luck!

Thanks again. Although it is so tempting to go a custom rom because i am already addicted to customizing and obsessed with my phone i am way to scared. With my luck i will end up bricking my phone. I just read that horror post on the main page. Maybe one day

I understand you concern as I was the same way originally. However, if you follow the instructions on unlocking the phone and flashing the ROMs, it is really nearly impossible to "brick" your phone. I think a lot of people jump to the conclusion that they "bricked" the phone not realizing that there are many ways to get the phone back to a position where you can re-flash it. Don't get me wrong as I am not trying to push you that route. I just want to let you know that it is not as "dangerous" as it may seem. I understand whichever route you decide on. Keep in mind that you should still be able to change to a custom slider if you download one of brent372's sliders. It should work on the stock ROM.

Hello Rtwood. Love your work! Was wondering if you could make up a 2.5 slider that is a DroidERIS Style SenseUI themed one? Similiar to brent version here: http://tp2.bfgreenberg.com/senseui.htm

Thanks again!

From what I can tell, this is not an issue with the sliders, but has to do something with a change in manila. I am sure there are some people far more intelligent than I am that are working on getting a slider to work without the issue that you are having (I had the same issue on the newer ROMs). Just be patient and I am sure you will see a cab from someone soon.
