Re: Stuck in TITAN bootloader? Read this!

This site disappeared for a little while and because I just hate having idle hands, I finnally found a ROM, flashed it and, like the idiot that I am, I let the Sprint Customization run!

I did manage to find all of the stuff to restore the phone back to "Out of the box" and a quick call to VZW got the damn thing working again.

Now that I have some education, I will do even MORE research and start the whole thing again.

I would very much like to thank you for all the help and patience.

Re: Stuck in TITAN bootloader? Read this!

Ok I saw someone with this issue but it didn't sound like it got resolved so here is my problem (one of many)

Running rdizzle rom for a few months no problem. Last week my phone started going to the BL screen when I would soft reset but I would plug it USB into the charger, soft reset again and fine.

Today went to reload the ROM, got into the BL screen, got to the percent screen, then there was an error.

tried again but noticed when it got to the update page on my PC the image now is blank. I have tried multiple ROMs all to no avail. I always get a communications error. I even tried loading from SD card and that didn't do anything (although I'm not sure I did it right)

Then tried the 2.17 rom and the progress bar started moving got to 2% then stopped saying the it doesn't work with this hardware.

right now I'm in the BL screen and it says the following

TITA100
SPL-2.06.0000
CPLD-9

I tried running the 2.40 SPL and it didn't run either. any suggestions?

Re: Stuck in TITAN bootloader? Read this!

you're device is now locked you need to unlock device again before using custom roms. if you load from bootloader (or softSPL as is done for 2.40 unlocker) the RUU will show current image as blank that's ok, you can use neuspl for unlocking from SD if needed

Re: Stuck in TITAN bootloader? Read this!

Thanks now that I know it's locked I threw a newer ROM on there. I had to go from 3.35 to 3.56 I couldn't go straight to the latest release.

BUT.....

Now that I have it working with the official roms now I'm having another issue. EVERYTIME I do a soft reset it drops into BL screen. Only way to get it out is to plug it into the wall power supply USB while plugged in. Do you think this is a hardware issue and need to call sprint?

I have a theory that 3.35 doesn't really allow full radio updates. That is something that could cause random type issues. I would suggest re-flashing the 3.35 and seeing if the issue still occurs.

I have never liked activesync. it's bulky, has a mind of it's own and is one of the flakiest programs to use over usb. to me it's only useful purpose is for exchange email. for that matter even outlook has left a bad taste in my mouth over the years and this year I broke that habit. I get very tired of the proprietary nature of these appz.
for example; active sync has very poor conflict management. (if there is a conflict [ie you changed a contacts phone#] activesync (wmdc) will only pick one outlook's version or the phone's version depending on your setting. why can't it show you (the user) the conflict in question and let you decide which to keep or merge.

I use dashwire now, (i'm not saying it's conflict managemt is leaps and bounds, but it's getting there) and they're working hard at making it a positive experience.
after using bitpim for so many years with "normal" phones I got used to actually having control over my contacts.

EDIT; I just noticed this is kinda off topic, but that ? kinda hit home with me.
