Dude never never never run a unlocker, load a rom or radio for a different device. It will brick your phone. Please take a picture of the bootloader screen so I can see it.

Re: Stuck in TITAN bootloader? Read this!

I am a noob, I'm sure there is an easy fix to this but I cannot get it to work. I have Verizon's HTC xv6800 and I tried to get the GPS unlocked and now I am stuck in bootloader screen it says 2.40.olipro but whenever I tried to get my computer (windows vista) to let me open the program to take me out of boot loader, it says it cannot connect to the USB and i should check to make sure activesync is off... I'm not sure if it is, I have turned off 2 of the 3 tasks someone else posted about the 3rd I couldn't find!

If anyone has ANY idea how to make my phone work I would be eternally greatful to you!

Re: Stuck in TITAN bootloader? Read this!

My guess is that you need to flash a rom. What did you do to get to this state.

Is there any in-device alternative to titan_exitbl?

Is there program that runs on the device to do the same as titan_exitbl? My 6800 does not have a working USB connection to a PC any longer. I can load programs to the device via FTP which works just fine. I also have the micro SD card to move things between devices.

Here is my situation. The 6800 has been running stock ROM and radio just fine for many months. I loaded spl 240 oliopro many months ago but never used it and it always stayed in the background.

Tonight I was running a regular SPB backup and after it finished the 6800 flashed up the tri color spl.

The only way I could get the device to start was to remove battery for a bit then fiddle with reset and push some buttons and it comes back to life. It does not boot with the SD card but that was reformatted and works fine if inserted after the device reboots without it.

I installed neuspl 2.47 and it does the same thing. Reboot device and tri color spl screen pops up.

Not sure what to try now other than reflashing rom but it seems like that is not going to fix the spl stuck condition.

Re: Stuck in TITAN bootloader? Read this!

I think this is the beginning of a hardware failure. When I had this if I plugged a charger or anything into the usb port then the device would boot. You could try this but I dont know if it will work since your port is messed up.

Thank you as this appears to be my situation. I discovered, as you have, that if I plug the device into the charger then it boots fine.

The mini USB plug is messed up. The pins got mashed up and I tried to straighten them up. Got enough working so charging works but USB data connection is broken.

Guess I need to figure out how much trouble it is to replace the usb connector. What options are there for restoring function to USB connection?

Re: Stuck in TITAN bootloader? Read this!

Hey guys. I have searched quite a bit on this particular problem, but have only thus far found a few bandaid solutions.

Basically, when I power-cycle/reset my Vogue (WM 6.1 when the problem started happening), it only seems to want to boot into the bootloader screen. My radio is up to date at 3.42.50 and I am currently using NFSAN's latest WM6.5 build with CoKe 2.31 bootloader. I can use my phone/data connection/GPS normally when I finally do gain access.

Bandaid solution one involves pulling out my battery, plugging in the charger cord, waiting 20 min, pulling out the charger cord, putting battery back in, powering on. This will get me out of bootloader mode, but next time I power-cycle/reset, im back into bootloader mode. Very hit or miss as it doesn't always work.

Bandaid solution two involves using ImCoKeMaN's titan_exitbl.rar uni_exitbootloader program. Ive read this entire thread, and I did make sure I was disabling ActiveSync/Mobile Device Center. Only seems to work on a specific XP machine (of two I have tried it on, and never worked on my Vista machine). Again, this will get me out of bootloader, but next time I power-cycle/reset, im back into bootloader mode. Works almost every try. Sometimes it takes two or three tries, unplugging and plugging the USB cable each time.

I would just say screw it and use the above methods to keep my phone working, but if im out on the road and I get stuck in bootloader mode, I would be in trouble. Plus, it just wouldn't be very stylish to have to tether a Windows XP box to my waist just restart my phone properly each time lol.

Anyways, I have tried flashing back to the latest stock Bell ROM and the problem has persisted.

I have flashed NFSAN's latest WM6.5 build onto my phone twice using ImCoKeMaN's 2.31.CoKe Unlocker to unclock the phone twice, and the problem has persisted.

Is it possible to change a value in the device's registry, or something such as that, to incorporate ImCoKeMaN's exitbootloader?? Is there some other file I could modify to ensure it restarts normally unless I soft-reset it into the bootloader on purpose? I am at my wits end on this one guys. Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance guys!
