question IamCokeman, will this new unlocker work after i have installed the new test rom? i already have it installed but was wanting to try some of the cooked gps roms till i find my flavor during the weekend

Do we need to relock a previously unlocked phone in order to run this unlocker
 

I have previously unlocked my unit with TitanUnlocker.exe file version 1.0.0.0.

Do I need to relock my unit with the Titan_Relocker.exe before running in the Hard-SPL-MFG.exe?

Love IT all, GPS works great, internet is noticeably faster, only problem im having is that i use POINTUI, and now it runs like crap under this new rom, runs really slow. but other than that everything else that i use runs great.

How do we downgrade to other roms after we've installed 2.40? Itried a stock and custom rom and it says it needs another bootloader.

How can I flash a custom ROM with the 2.40Olipro SPL? Every time I try, at 1% it crashes with "INVALID COMMAND".

I had a problem with it crashing when flashing a custom 3.16, so I flashed it straight from the microSD card and it worked perfectly.

Were you using the new RUU or an old one? I have heard people mention problems with the RUU from this update and i'm just curious if it's a possible issue. The one in my folder is the one i used and i haven't had issues yet. If something comes up i'll be sure to give more details. Either way more details are needed to pinpoint what the problem is at this point because people have definitely done it.

I tried the RUU included in the original release, the RUU Shadowmite provided, as well as an older one I had laying around from a previous custom rom install. All gave me issues on the original released ROM as well as Shadowmite's. I haven't run into this issue with any other pre 3.16 ROMs.

However, SD method worked fine for me.

Anyone running an x64 OS, just ignore the sleep4 errors and keep hitting the enter key. It will flash 2.40 on your PDA.

I tried to install the 2.40 Bootloader to install DCD new radio 3.27 and Rom 2.0 beta, when I flashed the new bootlader it still shows as SPL-1.20.0lipro, is this the correct bootloader? I flashed the radio and it shows on the splash screen and DCD 2.0 rom but it keeps reseting and I am now sitting in bootloader SPL-1.20.01ipro, how do I get the right bootlader?

For some reason when I have this bootloader installed my phone will not come out of sleep. I had to revert back to the stock bootloader.

I am running 2.17, I tried to run 3.16 and thought that my problem was 3.16. When I reverted back to 2.17 the problem was still there. When I put the stock bootloader back on, it works just like it is supposed to.

I think I am doing everything right. Has anyone else see this?

I tried both an old RUU and the new RUU that came with the GPS ROM (renamed my custom ROM to 3.16.617.0.nbh) and it still did the "ILLEGAL COMMAND" at 1%. I'll give it another try today and will also try the MicroSD method.

New SPL works with new radio and rom. They are a package deal. Anything older can't mix and match at this point. you need to reinstall old unlocker if you need old rom back.

The ROM itself is new, it's a cooked version of the 3.16 ROM, but extracted and built using Tadzio's tools and Dutty NBH tool patched for Titan.

I just tried the old RUU again, the LED blinks red for a second and the phone reboots. I get ERROR [328]: INVALID COMMAND at 1%.
The new GPS RUU, when I rename my custom nbh to 3.16.615.0.nbh and replace the existing one, it gets to 15% and then I get an UPDATE ERROR.

However, I tried the MicroSD method and it worked perfectly, my custom OS.nb is working just fine! I was going to release an Alltel version of the ROM, but it took me so long just to get this far that several people already beat me to it.

Any way of getting the new SPL to work with Vista64?

with no experience about all these, trying to load new rom released on this forum. As per instructions i downloaded Hard-SPL-MFG.
1. Copy , Say YES
2. Remove USB cable , reconnect

and Didn't block ActiveSync USB and continue ROM update. Nothing happened. Now my screen is with Red, Green, Blue and White bars. Says USB at the bottom. Tried Reset, Hardreset nothing works at least to get to the factory defaults.

Please suggest something. Appreciated

Try disabling ActiveSync USB in Connections, then run an executable file resembling titanbl.exe or something with a filename very similar to that (I'm at work so I don't remember the exact filename).

That should at least exit the bootloader and allow the phone to boot as normal.

i have been running the unlocker. get to the red, green, blue screen with usb. SPL-2.4..once the update utility runs i keep getting "error 260 connection...everytime the phone boots to this rgb screen, the phone loses connection....am i doing something wrong? i can just soft reset to get out, so i'm not stuck....i just can't get the rom on the phone

Go to the key HKEY LOCAL MACHINE\SERVICES\WirelessMGR and change “MutexFlag” from 1 to 0. soft reset. You’ll now be able to have wifi on while the phone is on.

Yeah, I had the same issue. Ended up sticking with 3.16 for the time being because of it. Someone told me I ought to flash from my MicroSD but I would need a card reader (which I don't have) so I will probably just stick with what I've got for now.

My Titan has trouble with RUUs so I found a MicroSD card and reader to be a necessity.

hay everyone. I've got a crazy question. I'm at work right now and forgot my usb cable at home. i want to load the leaked rom onto my phone (i've been testing out other roms and want to see if i can use doguy's kitchen with nueRom v2.0), but first i need to unlock my phone with the new unlocker.

Is there any way to put the unlocker on my phone by using just a sd card and a cardreader?

if not i have to wait to get home and thats 8 hours from now. :(

No, I think you have to have an ActiveSync connection because it installs a Soft SPL to your phone to bypass the built-in SPL. Otherwise, the original SPL is CID locked and will not allow the Hard-SPL to flash.

If you have time to kill, you can always try though. Just copy the .nbh to your SD card and enter bootloader mode.

The hard spl downlod gets stuck at 7% for me, any other mirrors?

Try doing a hard reset and redoing the whole flash. Flash the unlocker first, make sure you use the most recent version, i posted a link a post up. After that flash the ROM. If the ROM your using doesn't work try flashing a different one to see if it's just the rom. Then flash the radio

This is a symptom caused by running the level 1.x unlocker with the level 3.x ROM, or the level 2.x unlocker with the level 2.x ROM. What ROM did you flash? What bootloader do you have? What were the instructions regarding bootloader/unlocker/re-locker given by the person posting the ROM, and did you follow those instructions EXACTLY?

Flashing the proper bootloader (unlocker) should fix your problem. Level 1.x bootloader with level 2.x ROM and level 2.x bootloader with level 3.x ROM.

First of all, thanks again for trying to help us out.

But I have been using the 2.4 unlocker to install 3.16 and once again I am still getting the same issue with the phone not coming out of sleep mode without having to do a soft reset. I have followed your instruction but still find this one problem recurring rather frequently. One of you had mentioned something about flashing the radio too?

But if there are any other suggestions to help fix this I am sure you would make many people happy!

What ROM did you flash? Did the instructions say to also flash a new radio? AFAIK, the 3.16 ROMs are incompatible with the old radios also.

I flashed to the new ROM 3.16 with the 3.27 radio as well. Just to clarify things. It IS booting and I am able to use the phone. The problem lies when the screen sleeps and times out to conserver power (usually after a couple minutes) it just won't turn back on unless I do a soft reset.

Here is what I have done just to make sure we are on the same page.

I have installed the 3.16 ROM with the Titan 2.4 unlocker (the newest one I can find).

I have verified on bootup that the Radio is 3.27 and not an older version.

I have made numerous attempts to reinstall the ROM. Still to no avail.

Now I know the many who read this are thinking "give it up! just wait till it officially comes out!!" haha but I appear to be one of the few with this problem and who's to say it may occur when it officially comes out?
