ok, just to verify...

ran the unlocker, got it stuck on 1.10, continued with the Updater...updated....then stuck on 1.20...reflashed with sprint 2.16 (was workin great for me)...everytyhing looks good, sprite backup worked great....

Depends on what you restored using Sprite. If you search, you will see all over these forums that it is not recommended to restore a full backup when changing ROMs...

i didnt change ROMs, it had 2.16 on it before I did the update, and when it locked into the 1.20 color screen I reflashed with the same ROM.

I keep getting a communications error # 262 from the TitanUnlocker.exe application. It's after I have started the Rom update process (after running the bootloader exit program and re-connecting via usb, then I start the update process and the progress bar appears on the Phone and the computer. Progress remains at 0% and after a minute or two, the program returns an error 262, Communications Error. It prompts me to continue on to recovery, which works fine, the mogul seems to bounce right back after removing the battery and powering back up..nothing seems to have changed with teh rom.

Any ideas? I've tried 3 times, read and followed all the warnings/directions, restarted, checked on the TempTtn folder, and re-installed .Net 2.0 just incase...nothing seems to make a difference.

you can't run the bootloader exit program in the middle of the hard SPL install. The ruu needs to run to complete the unlocking process.

Do i need to run the unlocker every time before i flash to aonther ROM?or the unlocker needs to be run only one time?

Only one time.

You currently cannot - a version is being worked on that will allow you to flash back to the stock boot loader if you so desire.

Yes this would be best incase I need to take device to sprint for defective hardware. Is there an ETA on the new unlocker to install stock bootloader

There isn't really an ETA, but it isn't required (although there will be another feature for the really hardcore geeks to play with if it goes as planned). Sprint will most likely never notice that different bootloader if you have hardware problems, and any of them that would probably wouldn't mind.

No. This will allow ALL roms designed for the TITAN to install. There is NO technical reason whatsoever to remove the unlocker. It actually makes your device safer.

Thanks for all of your work here. You are doing everyone a real service! Is there any update on the new version that will allow one to flash back to a Sprint stock ROM? I may need to take my phone in to the store since I am having lots of issues with it. If I am not running their ROM I don't think they are going to help me out. Thanks again!

im using the 2.09 rom with the 1.32 radio i have the file for the 1.40 radio i cant figure out how to update my 6800 or if i can will some one point me in the right direstion so i dont brick my phone

Well...you're in the right thread. Install the unlocker and then you will be able to flash the 1.40 radio.

I'm not getting this to work. I've followed all the steps and when I get to the progress bar, it goes from 0% to 100% in about 5 seconds. It continues as if it completed the install and I get the error message below. I've tried creating F:\TempTtn folder before running the unlocker and still doesn't work. Am I missing something? Running XP btw.

I tried reverting back to the original ROM before flashing the SPL, but no luck.

Edit: Hmmm... actually read all the posts on the XDA site and it seems I have some other things to try :)

I am also getting that same error as above but the RUU won't move from 0%. After the Unlocker runs I see "Your device should now be showing an SPL version of 1.10.Olipro..." Instead of 1.12.Olipro... Any suggestions?

Does anyone knows if it's possible, and how, to unlock the Sprint PPC-6800 for use with other 800 MHz CDMA provider?

Verizon is going to start taking phones from other providers or so their webpage says. They will do the unlocking and testing of the device themselves. But normally a cellphone company won't activate the cellphone of another company. (Honor among thieves)

I'm not in the US, I guess all would go much easier otherwise. Locally, my CDMA provider runs at the 800 MHz band, no CDMA phones are sold anymore and the service is used only for Data Cards, none of which can fit in my UMPC. In the end, I have agreed to buy a gray market PPC-6800.

Searching on the Internet, I have seen some registry modifications for the PPC-6800:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies\0000 1001 = 2
-> Change the value data from 2 to 1

I tired to install it to my pc first and I get another error:

This should be run only from your PC and you need .NET framework installed in order to run it.

I run the Titan Unlocker per instructions, while it is doing it's thing, Activesync Disconnects and I get an "error 202" warning telling me my devise has been disconnected...?

I just ran the unlocker after a hard reset to get things back to abnormal and it SEEMED to work after a bit of a scare. How do I know it did its thing, sorry for the nOObness here but I am....... a noob that is

I just tried this and think I am doing something wrong. Here are my steps for my ppc6800 sprint phone.
1. connect active sync and run titanunlock
2. click the unlock button and see a screen that says Tita100 spl-1.10.olipro.
3. remove and reinsert usb cable.
4. phone will not reboot so I disable usb in activesync and run titan_exitbl
5. this make the phone completely reboot back into wm6
6. turn back on usb for activesync (activesync connects) and click ok
7. agree to some warning, click next
8. click update
9. click next.
10. my screen goes blank and then to a progress bar. It hangs for about 1 min and then I get a 262 error telling me it failed because of a communication error. The progress bar never gets past 0.

What am i missing? Should it have rebooted back into wm6?

OK I got it! I guess I did not understand the instructions. For some reason I thought I had to re-establish a active sync connection, when all I had to do was:
1. Remove usb cable
2. Reinstall usb cable
3. Continue running app (this is there I thought I had to re-establish the activesync, but it will not re-establish for me with the boot loader screen on.
4. Done and I have upgraded it.

How do i know i need to run relocker??
When i get in bootloader mode i get standard 1.04 bootloader.

Is it possible to run rtask commands on p4000? How do i talk to radio bootloader from command line?

Olipro and I redid the unlocker with the new SPL from the GPS rom. It's an MFG bootloader so it has lots of goodies, it's based off the 2.05 SPL and it's packages JUST like the relocker i created so it shouldn't have some of the vista or .net issues that the first one had. This spl will be protected from overwrite just like Olipro's original, but the old relocker will still work as well.

note: This update can not be run by extracting the files and just running the RUU. If the self extracting executable doesn't work for you just run the .bat file to get everything started. It has directions from there (same idea as the relocker if ya want more direct instructions).
