Sorry to hear that, but I completely understand the feeling of wanting to get in fisticuffs with your phone. Actually one of the more recent times was trying out all the supposedly QVGA taskbars on this forum. I messed my phone up pretty good and ended up needing to hard reset.

Does anyone else have a preference on having the colored taskbar or the white?

Personaly, when I'm outside in the daylight, the white icons are a better contrast.
Also, regarding keyboard skins,
I tried to overwrite the files (like earlier builds), but I just get the white basic one. And muns cab file leaves a strange color blend.
I am trying to get the "BL OSXBlue".
Other than that, these ROMs are kick A*S for speed and simplicity.

OK, sounds like people prefer the white taskbar. I'll bring that back on my next build. I'll also try that blue keyboard and ask for feedback with the next build, too.

Thankyouthankyouthankyou. The contrast in daylight thing was why I was trying to get them back. The white may be a bit boring, but it is pretty functional.

I'm still at a loss over the battery icon business. I think I may just have to hard reset and try again - probably is related to the numerous taskbar things I installed. SIGH. I've spent the last 3 days battling with phone stuff and while it is fun for a while, when you don't have a great deal of success in getting it exactly how you want, it gets old

If you do, try the suggestion I gave you first about unchecking the option in Clock settings. I just did it again on 23008A to test, and sure enough I'm looking at a little battery meter.

I think I may have figured out how to blue-ify your keyboard without having to cook it in. I found this:

Try it out and let me know if it works. If it does, I'll add it in to post 1 and not cook it in. Best of both worlds.

It looked like it might work, but the "msim.96.dll.0409.mui", needed a driver or something to go with it.
I think it's just not WM6.5 compatible. munsKeyboard, is OK for now.
And I found a cab file for the symbol keypad: HTC Keyboard + Keypad.cab.
But it Keeps trying to predict what I am typing.
So everything else is looking great tho.

Bummer. It sounds like we are close, though, so I'll mess around with it when I get home and see if I can get the cab to work. If I can, I'll let you know. If not, you'll have the keyboard cooked into my next build.

So mattsm, TPlane37 and I spent the past couple of hours (seriously) looking into this. We hit a ton of speedbumps, and Mattsm stumbled across this:

Check those two files out, and it should work to let you skin the keyboard with one of a whole bunch of skins (including your OSX Blue!). Once I get confirmation that it works on your phone, I'll combine the 2 files and put them in my first post.
