Re: WM 6.5 - 23017B (08-Aug-2009)/23025A (11-Aug-2009)

btonetbone's 23017 has been the best for me and i have tried all the versions by others since this build. i have another titan for testing and have tried every 6.5rom by everyone after build 23017 and none of them have convinced me to upgrade from this build on my main phone..

I've tried 18 different 6.5 Roms with more disappointments than I care to discuss. I've run 23025A for the last 12 hours. The features are impressive and amount of free Ram. No bugs yet...

Re: WM 6.5 - 23017B (08-Aug-2009)/23025A (11-Aug-2009)

I just installed 23017B and was going through this DUN setup and was wondering if this Verizon tethering write-up is still valid with this ROM? The registry was different and I had to add Multi-NAI along with CheckProfile..

I am getting hung up when I try to start ModemLink. I receive "Unsuppoted or unavailable connection. Verify that your phone supports the selected connection and that the connection is not already in use by ActiveSync or another application."

ActiveSync is closed.. Thanks for any comments.

1. Install http://www.winmobiletech.com/sekalaiset/WM6_BT_DUN.cab to your Verizon XV6800. (Necessary for BLUETOOTH)

2. Re-pair Phone with PC. (Necessary for BLUETOOTH)

3. Set up a Bluetooth dialup connection on your PC using Bluetooth Modem. Number is #777, user name is your phone number, and password is "vzw" without the quotes. (Necessary for BLUETOOTH)

4. Make the following registry changes to your Verizon XV6800: (Necessary for BLUETOOTH and USB)

HKLM\Software\OEM\WMODEM
add DWORD "CheckProfile"=0
set DWORD "Multi-NAI"=0
set DWORD "WModemDUN"=0

5. Connect to BT DUN

6. Start Modem Link (Open then select "Start" from the menu) with data disconnected and USB unplugged. (Necessary for USB)

Re: WM 6.5 - 23017B (08-Aug-2009)/23025A (11-Aug-2009)

Hey all -
I just wanted to thank everyone for their support and appreciation while I was away from the ROMs! It really means a lot to me.

So first, let's see where I've been. Real life caught up on me, and I needed to put some huge efforts into my continued job search and freelancing. I've been attending conferences in my field and doing some heavy duty networking. Unfortunately, it's made the ROM builds fall by the wayside.

Ever since my week-long vacation in July, I've had less and less time to focus on the builds, and Microsoft is doing more and more to change the basic elements. I've fallen really behind and out of the loop, and don't foresee myself having the time to catch up. So I think that 23017B will be my last build.

Mattsm, bbsandkm, TPlane37, joojoobee666 and a number of other are still producing excellent ROMs and work for the Titan. I have complete faith in their products, and will wholeheartedly admit that they've always been far more advanced than me in technical knowledge. I recommend you try their ROMs if you want the latest builds.

I'll gladly leave my files and ROMs up for everyone as long as my 4shared account lasts, which should be a very long time.

Thank you again everyone for a great run, and I will do my best to check in occasionally.

Ivan
