Ok I finally figured the button remapping part and now have a quick way of closing stuff out. Just got another one for you.

1. How do you modift or get rid of the tool menu on the top of the screen. I'm referring to the one that has the magnifier and appears when you click the time, battery, and signal icons.

2. Is there a way to modify or change the positions of the "Start" and "OK" graphic buttons. They are currently on the button of the screen next to the soft keys and not on top like other WM builds. Any FYI I have been attempting to use BuildOS and for some reason there network is down.

Hope you can help, Thanks.

Task Manager or subtitution...

First off I really appreciate this thread and the roms that are here. I imaged my Sprint mogul with 28014. I saw that you have a task manager available for DL, but how would I install it on the phone(I have downloaded the cab files). You also mentioned that a user could also map the speech button to end programs, but how would I go about doing this. I noticed even though I "x" out a program they still reside in memory and would like to not have that. Also, is the voice recognition feature in say, when I tap my bluetooth headset and say a name, gone from this rom? Again, I appreciate your help.

Edit: Also, what is the keyboard fix for the titan that you have available for d/l, what does it remedy?

Thanks again.

JM forgive if you've fixed this or you've answered this question already but I've noticed since New Years my text messages dates have been off...they read 01/13/16. When I reply my stamp is correct but not incoming. Please advise...

Yeah I noticed the same problem today. From what I googled it is a ROM thing and something to do with the hex value or binary coding. Google or search PPCGEEKS for a cab fix. I got it and it immediately fixed the issue.

OK for starters I want to thank Jmartin72 because I had the same issues and this is the advice he gave me.

The 28014 build comes with a really great Task Manager built in. The one that he had for down load just gives you an option to have the Task Manager on the top right of your today screen. But if you are using the new build it is currently blocked by the tool bar.

To answer your question about installing cabs to your device, you just copy the cab file over to your PPC in either the main memory or Storage Card. Once the copy is complete you just run the cab from your PPC, using the file explorer. An install screen will pop up and just follow the steps.

As far as remapping keys just go to "Settings" and its under "Buttons". Click on a button (labeled Button 1, Button 2, ect.), and then change the program that its going to load.

I also have noticed the Voice recognition is missing from the rom. If I am not mistaken the file to load the program is not in the rom. I am looking for a cab to fix this but am not getting any luck.

Finally the keyboard fix. If you have owned a MOGUL for any period of time or received a refurbished one, you know that keys with not want to work or you get shadow keys. This is caused by either or a combination of hardware failure, or software glitch. The fix basically helps remedy the software trouble.

I hope this helps you. I just got passed all these issues and it can be frustrating to get them to all work. Oh and I hope I didn't steal your thunder Jmartin72, and again thanks for the ROMS and the great cabs.

Re: WM6.5 for HTC Titan Build 23518/21887 *UPDATE*

I have been using your ROM for about 3 days now...version 28014. I see that while it was fast with a 6MB pagepool on my Mogul, setting the Pagepool to Windows managed and then hard reset has given me a substantial boost that was not present when I had installed the ROM first. Am enjoyin' it!

One more thing. FDC Soft Task Manager > Notifications has 3 reminders about the Beta expiring in May 2010!! What's with that?
