Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen

I built a new rom late last night and I cut back on certain things that I don't really need on the phone and when I cooked it and put it on the phone it ran a lot more smoother. I noticed that if you do a soft reset, it takes a minute or two to rev up but when it is up and running, it runs fast and smooth. I am still testing but all in all it's good.

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen

everything works for me except the phone (titan) gets really laggy at times i suspect the top poster is rigth about the memory leak some times im at 56% memory consumption majority of the time with just two apps running im at >79%

plus there is this REALLY annoying bug with text messaging, when I get a incoming message and tap reply on the lower left corner, the messaging app pops up at the TOP of the text conversation, i have to press 'Newer' twice to get to the meat and potatos, it's irritating and this behavior never manifested itself on my apache.

One of the keyboards or task manager programs usually cause this. It could also be coming from the dialer, if you have something other that stock dialer.
An install wihout touchpal did not resolve it. a clean rom with only the default dialer skin did resolve the problem. Thanks!

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen

I did like brooklyn6 did and built the rom without any backups, opera, and without s2u2 and the rom is great. I manually installed them as well as mortscript and I haven't had any problems all day. I am finally happy now. I installed the newest version of s2u2 which is 1.35 and the Opera 9.5 2808. Everything is working exactly as it should. Thanks Brooklyn for the insight

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen

Not to be dismissed, shout outs to BrightEdge who originally put out the notion to downscale and try the process of elimination that led Brooklyn to discover the culprit. My text messaging is also moving at usual speeds as well.

Not a problem. I am still playing around to see what else I don't need and pretty much clear up space. Right now I have about 83% of memory and it's stable.

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen

Maybe I did something wrong, but I flashed my phone (again) last night with this ROM from BuildOS, and on my phone, the ROM version says: 3.08.666.1. Shouldn't it be a much newer version? If I'm not mistaken, I think my current ROM is not GPS compatible.

I know the newest 3.57.605.1

Is there anyway to see what the ROM version is going to be in BuildOS before I flash?

the custom ROM version is not a relationship to the stock ROM version it is merely the number assigned by the author. you are using the newest ROM, even though the number doesn't reflect the newest stock ROM

Go to "settings"------>Go to "About". The first tab will tell you which Rom version you are using.
